Van Nuys Court Parking reviews
2I've been using this parking spot since I started getting work assignments at the Van Nuys Court earlier this year. It's a bit of a walk (approximately 500 steps) from the spot to the James C. Corman Federal Building. If you're staying more than 3 hrs, it is worth the $10 flat rate (CASH). Otherwise, there are metered parking spots outside that is limited to 1 to 2 hours stay. The staff is friendly but the parking space's appearance is kinda delapidated (tons of paints chipping off from ceiling and walls) What can you expect from an ol' building/ parking space anyway? No elevators. Depending on which spot you take, from its entrance in Sylmar St, it'll be an additional walk to the staircase leading to the street level in Delano St. Oftentimes, it is not crowded too, so if its your first time in the area, unless you have more than enough time to look for a parking space, and to save you from the headache of circling /wandering aimlessly for that most coveted parking spot. Save yourself from stress and drive straight to this space.
Convenient distance from court buildings. Parking is free for those with Juror badges. Just be careful when driving up the entrance, it's a bit steep and can be slippery during rains.
