We've had our decks refinished many times in the last 35 yrs and Deck Promasters is undoubtedly the best deck refinishing company that we've ever hired. The owner proposed using a solid color stain & sealer that lasts for up to10 yrs (rather than the oil-based stain that only lasts 3-4 yrs) and our decks look like they're new! They were professional, prompt, responsive, reasonable and paid close attention to detail. Couldn't have asked for more. We are completely satisfied and highly recommend their services. Would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Great experience with Igor and Vladimir from start to finish (our deck is the one w/ the blue hot tub cover). We had our deck restained about two years ago by another company, but called Igor/Vladimir to redo/fix it b/c it was already looking shoddy. It now looks brand new and we couldn't be happier. In addition to the great craftsmanship, they were prompt, responsive, and got the job done a day ahead of schedule. Highly recommended.

Igor and his father did an amazing job restoring our backyard deck. They have excellent skills and knowledge for deck repair. Our redwood deck was repaired (pieces of wood replaced), power washed, patched and painted - all in 2 days. Also, they were polite, on time, meticulous, and affordable. I recommend them highly!

Vanguard did a fantastic job of refinishing our redwood deck. The deck went from looking black and stained to clean and brand-new. Igor and Vladimir were professional, efficient, and on-time. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to refinish a deck by knowledgeable, skilled professionals.

We found Igor through our neighbor, and I'm sure glad that we were able to bring him on to paint the facade of our building. His price was on the more competitive side (ie.slightly cheaper) when compared against the other 4 estimates I had from SF-based painters, but Igor included repairs to our waterproofing and flashing at our false-balconies which other painters excluded. He also took care of the scaffolding contract as well as logistics of sub-trades (which was included in his proposal), and he even suggested improvements/repairs which he covered at no additional cost bc it was convenient for his team. The work he did was great, and it's obvious that his painters took great care.

With all the nightmare contractors out there, Igor is a diamond in the rough. He's honest and has a great personality. No change orders - all scope discussions were straightforward.

If you're comparing painters, Vanguard should be at the top of the list. You won't regret it!

Igor and Vladimir did a tremendous job sanding and resealing our deck. They were highly professional, knowledgeable, efficient and finished the work on time. The pricing was very competitive and the value was fantastic. As you can see from the photos, they truly transformed our deck.

Our deck, outdoor stairs, and the fencing around the deck badly needed power washing, sanding, and refinishing. Igor provided an in person evaluation and cost breakdown, gave good advice about how to treat the redwood and ipe, and oversaw the work daily. Vladimir's work was excellent, the grueling sanding and refinishing was done very carefully, and he was on time, professional, and thorough. The result is beautiful, and will protect from the wind and weather for several years. I have asked this team to do some additional work involving a small construction project, and am so happy to have found them.

Igor and his team are great. I just had my deck refinished and the results are fantastic. Not only did he do a good job, he talked me out of a couple bad decisions regarding deck stain, color, etc. Definitely take his advice. You know they're detail-oriented when you see them getting after the nooks and crannies with an individual brush! They are also competitive price wise. Overall a great value I would say. I'm planning on using them for future projects of this nature.
