DON'T DO IT! YOU WILL 100% BUY A BIKE!

I was pleasantly surprised with the styling, sophistication and maneuverability of the S3. This bike is slick yet stylish, firm yet comfortable, smooth yet agile.

Your pocket book might be saying. "dude you've already spent $10,000 on white claws this month. " But your eyes and your soul will say, "meh I can fork over another $2,000 for this bad boy. "

Long story short.you won't be disappointed.

Excellent service. We went for a test ride today. It was very orderly and felt very safe. We were off and riding after a bit of explanation. We really liked the bikes. Now just need to come up with the money.:)

This review is about the S3 I test-rode, not the store or staff both of which are great.

Cons:
1. Assist level can't be changed while riding without a mounted cellphone except for a booster button which you keep pressed for hills. You must stop to change it or you can change it while riding from the app. But it's a hassle to have to mount the phone every time I ride, not to mention draining battery to keep the screen awake. A handlebar-mounted controller would have been nice.

2. The bike has four gears that shift automatically. The gear ratio of the top gear is too low, making my cadence high on level streets.

Pros:
1. Price. It is very competitive for a bike with its design, features and quality.

2. Security. The bike can be locked from the app and is not ridable until unlocked from the app. Combined with a U-lock, it makes me comfortable leaving it on the streets of a high-risk city for an hour or two.

3. Simplicity. If the bike had a derailleur, you have to adjust the combination of the assist level and the gear and downshift before a hill or a stop. The automatic gear does that for you.

I love my Van Moof S2 Electrified! It’s stylish and the electric assist makes it so much more fun to ride to work- hills and a headwind are so much easier to deal with. Van Moof SF has been great, shopping experience was simple, 100% satisfied. One heads up- these bikes are popular and production is limited, so it takes a while from order to delivery. But it’s well worth the wait, there is no other electric-assist bike on the market that combines the style and performance of the S2 or X2 electrified!

The bikes are beautiful, battery life is long, and they ride so smoothly! While biking around town we received multiple compliments on the look of the bikes and sleek design. The employees in the store where incredibly helpful and able to answer all our questions. The added feature of being able to monitor your battery and unlock your bike via your phone is a huge plus! Would 100% recommend

The Vanmoof store in SF is as beautiful as the electric bikes! The staff is attentive and helpful, and have all the info you need to start riding. Plus, you can take the bikes for a trial ride!

My bike did take a little longer than I had expected, but the service at the SF store is unlike any I’ve received in the city. When it arrived I received a call to set up an appointment and there was someone at the store to show me all the features and make sure everything was working with my app correctly.

I had my bike stolen and they were able to find it in 24 hrs. I was very impressed with the bikes tracking system that actually worked. The mechanic was able to fix all of the damages to the bike and make it ride better than before it was stolen.

I would absolutely recommend the product and the service of the store. I can get everywhere in SF within 20 mins and never have to wait for the broken or late muni again.
