Vantage Hollywood Apartments, Los Angeles CA

I had a good general experience living here. No place is perfect but my apartment was very nice and newly renovated. The walls were a decent thickness and I didn't hear things from apartments above me often and never from those below me. Maintenance responded within reasonable time periods and gated garage parking kept my car safe. The pools and hot tubs were nice. Everyone minded their own business. I felt safe within the complex which is so important in a big city.
Common complaints of the complex included that oftentimes an elevator was down for maintenance but it was okay because there were four in close proximity. Packages were often stolen from the mail room; that was a real problem though no one ever took one of mine. I hope it gets resolved. I did have internet speed issues while living at Vantage Hollywood but the speeds would be acceptable for most people.

My fridge stopped working and Carlos came after hours to help. It wasn't fixable and he replaced it right away saving all my frozen foods, milk, ice cream. Everything was saved because of Carlos! Many thanks for going above and beyond!

I’m going to give an honest and thorough review as someone who has lived here since 2018 (through different managements & in different units)

I’m very impressed with how quickly and thoroughly management handles any issues I may have. I’ve honestly never had an issue gone unaddressed, which is very impressive. I’m not sure if it is because I have been a resident for a while but when I have had complaints about something (whether that is noise etc) I’ve always had Victoria reach out to me and let me know it was handled which I so appreciate. If occasionally something slips through it’s very easy to get ahold of the leasing office in person during their hours. If you have suggestions or things you want fixed regarding the apartment complex as a whole they’ll hear you out. A while ago I inquired about cameras before they were added and have slowly noticed cameras being added throughout the complex. You just need to communicate with them your concerns and be patient as there are a lot of residents in the building.

The management is very respectful and stays out of your way as long as you respect the rules and pay rent. In the past I’ve had landlords who are wayy too up in your business and as an introvert I really appreciate the space.

Everytime I’ve filed a maintainance request it has been fixed in a week or less, unless it’s a busy holiday season. The maintainance people are very kind and always make sure to follow up if something requires more visits.

As it is an older building, my guess is that the walls are not insulated strongly (or not at all) so keep that in mind if you plan on facing Hollywood Blvd - the traffic was pretty loud (but the view was gorgeous). If facing the courtyard my experience has been issues with echoing dog barks & such but for the most part everyone is reasonably quiet. Any noise complaint I’ve had has been handled pretty quickly. The night patrol also handles noise complaints really quickly as well if you call which is so appreciated.

I would highly recommend getting yourself a ring cam or something of the sort as this is a high crime area. When I first moved here I had a ton of my packages / Uber orders stolen. The camera seems to have slowed that down a lot. Unfortunately though a lot of packages don’t seem to get properly delivered, especially by Amazon as I don’t think that they want to go all the way to the Luxer room and I’ve seen packages left in random areas around the apartment. I know this isn’t necessarily the managements fault as they can’t control the Amazon workers so it’s just good to know before losing something expensive. I would also recommend getting yourself a PO Box of some sort - I use the one 5 minutes down the street and it works great for packages.

Overall I’m very satisfied living here, I like the amenities & people living here are around my age or older so I don’t really hear any crazy parties. Victoria especially has always been so kind to me and Kevin always has helped me with my lease renewals - everyone’s very professional and friendly especially with all of the things they must have to deal with!

Vantage Hollywood is an amazing place to stay. Victoria and Micah are always available to help and are super kind. Maintenance handles issues within the same week or even same day at times. Glad this has been a place to call home!

I recently had the pleasure of having Carlos and Geronimo from the maintenance team come to my apartment to fix my broken kitchen sink, and I couldn't be happier with their service. From the moment they arrived, they were friendly, professional, and efficient. What really stood out to me was their attention to detail. Carlos and Geronimo took great care to not only fix the sink, but to also clean up the area and leave it spotless. They even took the time to show me how to prevent similar issues in the future. Overall, I give Carlos and Geronimo a 5-star rating for their exceptional service, professionalism, and expertise. They truly went above and beyond to ensure that my sink was fixed properly and that I was satisfied with their work. I would highly recommend them and the maintenance team to anyone in need of their services. Thank you, Carlos and Geronimo!

I’ve lived here for 3 years now and haven’t had any major issues. Recently the locker room has been down but the front desk has been doing an excellent job in keeping our packages safe in the office. Friendly staff

I lived here for one year and would have renewed if it weren't for work relocation. I signed with another Equity Residential apartment because of my experience with Vantage. Micah was my leasing agent and very responsive to all of my questions. Vanessa is empathetic and the sweetest property manager ever! The service staff was always quick to fix things. A lot of reviews around safety are related to living in Los Angeles, not Vantage.

I didn’t want to believe the negative reviews about this place because it’s such a perfect location. But then I called to inquire about my scheduled tour and the manager was so incredibly rude and unprofessional. She even laughed at me in such an awkward way. Save yourself the trouble and look somewhere else.

Vantage Hollywood Apartments is a nice apartment complex that has a lot of amenities such as a gym, pool areas, rooftop, and parking garage. The maintenance team, works hard to fulfill work order requests, in particular Geronimo. Moreover, the is a front office open during business hours that can help with concerns about your apartment or lease, having great personnel like Micah and Kevin to greet you at the door. Moreover, Victoria (the community manager) is very attentive in person, listens to your concerns and tries her best to address them.

I've been considering moving from Las Vegas back to LA and came across Vantage. I had an easy time scheduling a tour and Kevin and Micah were extremely helpful in giving me insights and answering questions that I had. I appreciated the professionalism that the staff had.

Would not recommend staying here. Tons of theft and crimes. Very noisy. And the elevator never works!
