VCA California Veterinary Specialists reviews
24My poor girl has some issues with her eyes, so after about 6-8 weeks of trying stuff at her regular vet we were referred to Dr. Collins the ophthalmologist at CVS. The waiting room was large with lots of comfortable seating and they even had yoga mats to lay on the floor for your pup (pet) to be more comfortable. There is a lot going on in the office but they are kind and courteous. The techs are very kind and you can tell how much they love animals. The doctor was very thorough and made sure everything was understood. We will continue to go here for ophthalmology and any other speciality the offer if needed.
My Pomeranian has been to both Carlsbad and Murrieta CVS locations. Both have stellar staff that are extremely organized, experienced, efficient, and empathetic. I wish they also provided preventative care as I would definately take her there for all needs if so. Thankful for the angels working at these locations.
Our chihuahua Regina, had an emergency visit 10: 30 Thursday night, to VCA California Veterinary Specialists.
As a dog mom with past nursing/laboratory experience, I was impressed by the whole staff, facilities, and quick relief our Regina experienced. Dr. Virginia Fritsch, is a concerned, and very competent young doctor,
who immediately recognized Regina's problems and recommended a treatment plan. A good plan that brought our pup much needed relief from a pain med reaction she had been given at her regular clinic. Thank you Dr. Fritsch, vet techs, and front desk girls for your help during our Regina's scary ordeal. After our visit there Thursday night we plan to use VCA California Veterinary Specialists for all our pets.
I brought my Kitty in because he was obviously in distress and it was on Sunday. He was howling and hanging out in the bathtub. I saw some brown spots in the tub but I didn't know whether that was what was wrong. Yes I had brought him in before because he had a blockage and I was afraid it might be the same thing again. X-rays, urinalysis and tests revealed nothing.
2 days later I took him to my Vet for a follow up. He opened his mouth and saw that his canine tooth had broken off and was infected. Seems like looking in his mouth might have been something that should have been done. I have to say, I am disappointed.
