Manilito not only is the sweetest, but he also is an extremely talented artist. My hair was so damaged and lifeless, but he brought it back to life! He was constantly checking in to make sure the length was ok, or if I needed anything. I haven’t had a cut in almost 3 years because I’m so nervous when I comes to people cutting my hair but he made me feel so safe, comfortable, & at home. Needless to say, I found my new stylist, and will only be seeing him moving forward. I’m so happy with the results? Thank you manilito u are the best seriously?

I have been looking for a stylist who can be creative with my short hair for several years now and finally saw an amazing cut on my friend. Getting hair cut from Manilito the second time and I am finally absolutely happy with the result. They are just the best, open to experiment and does a great, detailed job. My balayage appointment was with Emma and she is amazing. I have greys and was particular about the colour application technique. She was attentive to my asks, very efficient and made sure my hair turns out exactly how I wanted. Love how my hair looks!

Simply the best professional helpful caring friendly salon Connie is the best hair cutter and stylist I have ever been to. She treats her clients with care consideration and politeness as do all the stylist working with her at Veer and Wander. Stylish setting consummate professionals and all around good vibe.

Bare bones and untalented. The proprietor has 0 talent and does a fast job on your hair. It doesn't matter to her that the color she gives you isn't great, and her salon color products aren't healthy for your hair.

She constantly pushes products at the salon at you. It is incessant. Hair clips, massage oil.

This may have been a good place but post Covid she's her colorists that have good talent. The replacement colorists working now isn't on the same level.

It feels tired, contrived and you walk away schmeered.

I’ve been going to Veer & Wander for over a year now, and when I say it’s my favorite hair salon that I’ve ever been to, I mean it! I’ve been seeing the owner Connie every time I go. We have built a great friendship, making my experience there even more pleasant than it already is. She remembers everything that I tell her from previous visits, and knows how to keep a conversation flowing, which is key in my book. Other than being a great person in general, she is also a great hairstylist. I never walk away from V&W with disappointment— I actually love my hair even more every time I go! My last visit I was planning on getting just a touch up on the original color that I had gotten about 4 months ago. When talking about going back to Brooklyn for college, Connie came up with the marvelous idea of going a few shades darker, to achieve a more “nyc winter look. ” Of course I trusted Connie’s judgement, and now I walk down the street, receiving compliments after compliments. Although now I live in Brooklyn, I still come back to V&W on my trips home to SF because it is seriously my favorite place to be! Not just Connie, but all the other employees at V&W are splendid. If you are looking for a new hair salon, V&W is calling your name!

Love this place, very pricey but all my fave stylists keep leaving. I’ve been coming here for years and overall it’s a lovely salon that’s tucked away in an alley between Market St and Mission/Castro. I wish my stylists didn’t keep leaving but I keep coming back. Their prices are stupid but given they use great products and have good stylists, I pay the price.

I had such a great experience at Veer & Wander! My stylist Emma did an amazing job coloring my hair (I got a balayage) and enjoyed the experience form start to finish. The salon is also very clean, well kept, and has a trendy atmosphere. I would come here again and will recommend Emma to all my friends!

I've been getting my hair cut by Veer & Wander for about 5 years now. I love it more then I can say. With my multi-ethnic hair i've had trouble finding someone who knows how to cut it right and Ashley gets it right every time! I've sent at least 5 friends and my mom there, they are all very happy!
