What a great experience! Glamping was over the top. Super comfortable bed and beauty all around us. Can’t wait to go back!

Worst experience. Horrific customer service. No accountability. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. There is no one to call past 8 pm. They didn’t have our name on the kiosk like they claimed. It took us an hour to figure it out and the hotel kept claiming this isn’t our hotel but it has the same owner… do yourself a favor and book one of the cute locally owned cabins.

Site 23 is awesome, this campground is absolutely beautiful, but with the reputation and cost I expected more. They charge an additional $2 for 5 minutes of showering, in cold water, then scalding, then cold. I was here a week I never got a hot shower. The bathrooms near my campsite (also near the closed airstream snack store) were locked all week. It was a long walk to the bathroom, up a steep grade to get back to the tent.we are in tents here.we need a bathroom sometimes in the night, not hiking that far to get to one.and we are paying a decent rate to camp here. I have tent camped all over and honestly Minnesota state parks have better shower facilities. And the rules they print, I've seen two roof top tents that are supposedly not allowed. Despite that, I would stay in this amazing canyon again. Oh, be careful reserving some sites are very small, and very close together. If you need room for two tents it could be an issue. Oh and there is a beer pong tournament happening at one loud site tonight. I expect more from this resort property. Hilton do better!

My family stayed at glamping site #9, #10 from 9/1/23 to 9/4/23. The wifi connection was very poor; actually, I could not connect it. I contacted their customer service almost everyday. Nobody came to my site to fix it. They kept saying that they are going to check the router remotely. And they wanted me to go smokehouse restaurant or glamping bathhouse; those locations are very far from my sites. Very poor customer service. At site #9, there was no warning sign regarding hot water.

A bit overpriced for the value. They charge a premium for the Ventana name but all of the amenities are with the hotel and not the campground. They advertised an airstream that is only open 2 days a week. Tent and campsite were decent, showers were clean. Firewood and ice were expensive. Would recommend you camp at a cheaper location and eat breakfast at Sur House for the view.

We had campsite 28, surrounded on 3 sides with forest and only neighbors were down slope 27 and 26. It's approx 200 feet incline to the passing 26 and 27 to get to 28. Our wagon came in handy hauling our stuff up the slope. Spent 4 nights and very enjoyable and quiet. Toilets & shower maybe 5-7 minute walk away

You prepare all week to go camping. You’re looking forward to and even paying for a special camp ground and can’t wait for an outdoors experience, to get away from the city, the lights, the music and sounds, to hear nature and enjoy the tranquility.

Instead as soon as it starts getting dark you get people playing music well past midnight, talking loudly, string lights throughout their site, parked in our “dedicated” space, smoking a full hookah, this camp ground has a complete lack of supervision/management/ desire to ensure top notch guest experience.

If you are looking to participate in a “back yard bbq” type atmosphere… this is the place for you.
Bring your friends, music, lights, don’t forget the alcohol, and party on.

If you want a true camping experience, look else where, especially for the elevated price.

Nice & pretty. But crawling with skunks. By that I mean, before 9pm they are knocking over water bottles. I didn’t have any food out but they were still all over the place.

Overall a beautiful campground with a running creek and redwood trees. Downsides are that if you are in campgrounds 20s-30s the bathroom closest on the map is actually for the glamping section. So be prepared for a 4 minute walk to the closest bathroom. Not terrible, but certainly inconvenient. Showers on the women's side were cold. No bears but lots of skunks that like to dig through food or trash left out. Their trash and recycling are sometimes not big enough and so people were forced to leave bags out in the open which the skunks rummage through at night.

Smaller camping spot compared to other places we've visited. Yet, just being in Bog Sur, we loved the conveniences. The shower coin is $2 per 5 min.we bought a bunch for the whole family for 3 days. However it gives you hot water just about a minute during the 5 minutes, my kids didn't want to take the risk.: (
The shower has two open windows, so taking a shower early morning or late night I was really cold.

Great campground, right next to a creek. Clean restroom and shower. However, some sites were a bit too close to each other without anything to separate them.

Stayed June 4-6,2023 in one of the glamping tents (site 12). The tents are great, mostly comfortable bed (slight dip in center), nice linens, lamps, coat rack, space heater, fan, heated blankets, 2 towels and 2 hand towels. The site itself was well maintained ours looked out to the forest and had a beautiful brook beside it. The back of the tent was against some sort of tank which we would occasionally hear hum. The bathouse was clean and very pretty. The showers would randomly go cold for a few minutes then back to warm, much like showering in a RV. They are also little travel outhouses around the camp which are nice. There were no services or supplies available beside firewood and ice. No snack bar, no restaurant open, no access to the resort unless you wanted to pay an additional $250 a guest to use some services, which we didn't need. What we would've like to understand before coming was there are no extras like a bar of soap or washclothes at the campsite. We weren't prepared for that and it is on us for not reading more into the descriptions. We were traveling and thought this was going to be more of a luxury camping experience than it was, this was more camping than luxury. You need to bring Everything except bedding and a towel. We thought we would just eat at the smokehouse turns out it closed half the week, the entire time were there. Luckily the food nearby was good. Unfortunately it meant driving through the tight roads of the campground several times a day. I highly recommend the campground if you are prepared for camping and not thinking this is a glamping experience. We have stayed at others where services were still available on the grounds, there are NO additional services, they direct you to nearest market for everything. The website makes statements like "In addition, we are happy to announce a menu of enhancement packages that feature coolers, s'mores ingredients, and more! " The campground host said he had no idea what we were talking about and directed us to the local market. Very disappointed about the lack of enhancements. We wouldn't have stayed here had we known there was no food or options for getting food without a drive. With all that said it is a beautiful campground and the redwoods are amazing. It is a one and done for us.

We camped here in space #56 for two nights which is in the lower (smaller) section of the campground. Being on the river side was nice, because you have the nice rushing water in the background the entire time and it is very soothing especially at night.

There is 1 fire pit and 1 parking space per campsite. Parking is tight with a narrow access road so plan to park once and not move your car very often if possible. Bring as much ice as possible, since I went to the 3 nearest stores the last day to get more ice and none sell any.

Campsites are close together so hopefully you get a space on the end or next to people you know. Our picnic table was slanted at a 15 degree angle which was very awkward for cooking or doing a lot of anything. Luckily we had a folding table which was better. The spot where we pitched our tent was not flat either, maybe a 5 degree slant. Overall not super comfortable due to this slope but we made it work. Some of the campsites are slightly larger than others, so try to pick one that suits you when booking. Ours was small compared to some others but for 2 people was alright.

We experienced relatively few bugs, helped by our fire but bring a citronella candle too just in case. Bathroom and shower were handy but during peak hours can be quite a line/wait. Shower is hot if you're lucky and lasts 5 minutes, but it took me a few min to undress and 10 to towel off / air dry and redress. So at 15-20 minutes a person, this can take a while. There are also plenty of spouts for filling your bottles or pots with cold water. Still would bring bottled water for drinking just to be safe.

Overall, it is a good campground, but we got a bad tent glamping site which has to be walked in by a steep uphill. And the wifi can't be connected, either. But cellular coverage is pretty good. Beds and rooms are clean and equipped with heating.

The gall to charge $80 for a camping space then $2 bucks for 5 minute shower tokens and the shower doesn’t heat up at. Price gauging at its prime here. Redwoods are nice but not for what you pay, avoid unless you like your wallet getting violated.
