Ventura Crab N Spice

I've been here twice, and my food was just warm. Other places make shrimps pound and sides very hot. What's the point eating there if the food is not gonna be hot. I wouldn't go back here.

We went to eat as a family and we grabbed some fries for my children and to almost finish them my girls looked at a COCKROACH That was still fried and buttery. I hope they fumigate and have more hygiene. AND I DON'T WANT TO LIE IT WAS ONE OF OUR FAVORITE PLACES TO GO TO EAT WITH FAMILY

I absolutely love this place - hands down the best Louisiana-style shrimp I've ever had! My personal favorite is their Captains Special, which features 3 pounds of perfectly cooked shrimp, sausage, quail eggs, potatoes, and corn, all drenched in a mouth-watering medium sauce. Be warned, though: their spicy sauce is not for the faint of heart - it's seriously hot (and I'm Mexican, so I know my spices)!

We're happy to pay a bit extra for peeled shrimp, as the quality is well worth it. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and speedy.

The only reason we gave 4 out of 5 stars is because we had one frustrating experience where we had to wait several minutes just to be told they couldn't accommodate us for dine-in service. It would have been helpful to know that upfront, rather than after waiting so long. Unfortunately, we never received a response to our emails or social media messages about this issue.

However, on our most recent visit, we were pleased to see that the restaurant has made some positive changes. The staff informed us right away that they were experiencing a high volume of customers and may not be able to seat us - we appreciated the upfront communication.

Overall, this place is delicious, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend it!

I wanted to order over the phone but no one answered so I drove to the location anyways just so I can try them out. It was a 15-minute wait. While waiting, there were two females handling the front which included seating customers, taking-getting-closing orders, serving us, and making sure we are satisfied. While waiting I did get a bit impatient because I was ready to go but I was also paying attention to how busy they were.
The food was pretty good. The spicy flavor tasted spicy. The medium flavor had a kick of spice but a little sweet yet good. My only complaint about the food would be the crab n' fries because there was not enough sauce topped over the fries.
