Tri-County Locksmiths Owner came after I couldn't get the original company "Ventura Locksmith", who put in the new lock in the first place, to come back to fix their own work without charging me another $175 house call fee after I told them it was just a quick fix - Ventura Locksmith said they said they don't guarantee their work after 3 months!) :

I had to rekey a Mercedes Sprinter and this was the only non-dealer that responded. I took my van in, the staff (especially Hector) is very helpful and professional. They even gave me a cash discount. The keys were programmed and locks were change and everything works perfectly. I highly recommend them.

I had a key brake off in the ignition of my car. They were able to remove it quickly (30 min) while I waited.

I needed a replacement fob for my car. They were less expensive and faster than the local dealerships. Staff very courteous and professional.

This company is not operating ethically.
The are not up-front about their warranty for services and returns for the products they offer.

They charge 60% restocking fee for return items, its un hear of, they said the manufacture charge that much, I call the manufacturer and they said they don't charge that much.

They sold me a panic bar unit for an apartment complex with a inaccurate cylinder key match. The supposed to have a 30 day warranty but charge to go fix the cylinder.

Until today I have not had a resolution after serval calls and emails.

Very happy with the service. Employee, German, saved me 50 dollars for copying my Lexus key. Definitely recommend them.

Great service. Called this morning and they were able to come make me a key for my ignition the same afternoon and we’re very friendly. Definitely recommend.

Such a rip-off. Try to work with them they didn't have the proper key for my ignition charge me $110 for two keys. They would open the doors but not turn the ignition on. Told me they didn't have the correct key and they could have it in a week. I've been to the shop for over 25 years every time I feel like I get ripped off. This was the last straw take your business elsewhere.

If I could give zero stars I would. I lost my car keys, I called and got a quote for two keys made and an unlock would be included. They show up, unlock the car, and then tell me the keys will be twice the price, and they can't do it for a few days. So.my car is unlocked on the street for two days and no keys, and they charged me $135? I called a locksmith in Santa Paula, he made two keys in an hour for half of this shady business's price. Don't use these guys. Bait and switch and extremely unprofessional.

We have some old locks that we called them to have rekeyed and they did an awesome job. We didn’t have to change the door locks but only had it rekeyed and now our locks work great with our old keys. The price was very reasonable. I’m very grateful for Ventura Locksmith.

I needed a second key fob for my car. They had it in stock and done for be in half the time they said.

Does not honor their product when it breaks or malfunctions terrible I’ve gotten three locks from this company Ventura locksmith and all three of broken and they have not honored him or repaired they say they’ll charge me for it or send it back to the manufacture Very disappointed

Absolute joke. Took a couple aftermarket auto keys to have them cut and programmed. The guy at the counter made a big deal about how these keys work only part of the time and that he recommends buying the keys that they make there. I took my chances and had them try to make them work. They were able to cut them correctly but swore up-and-down that they were the wrong "frequency" to program the remote. There was something very disingenuous about the salesman and it was clear he was really just trying to push their product on to me. I took the keys home did a 10 minute Google search and found out that I could program these keys at home. Low and behold these keys work perfectly. Any real shop would have known this and I suspected they knew this as well. Do not take anything here.
