Venus Cafe reviews
15Super legit Hong Kong food. The dishes are pretty big. Cozy feeling restaurant too. For three people, we got the french toast, chicken steak bolognaise lunch special w milk tea, and the beef brisket noodle soup. All very good and we had leftovers. We also got free soup for appetizer.
Enjoyable, delicious food, excellent staff. Look forward to every time I'm in the area. Seating comes with tea and a small soup.
I'm a fan of their chicken with Portuguese sauce, which is a lunch combo you can get.
Came around close to 7pm. Wasn't too busy and was promptly seated and was provided with tea. Menu was viewed via QR code and orders were placed easily.
Food came quick. I ordered one of their daily specials which is Baked Chicken Steak in tomato sauce with spaghetti which included a drink.
Sooo delicious and authentic Hong Kong cafe restaurant. Would definitely recommend. Baked rice is top choice.
The service is quick. The portion of food was large. However, the food was so so, also a bit too salty.
I had the 大哥大豬扒 Big Brother. Very large portion, and great taste! I would definitely come again:)
I ordered the fish filet with white sauce over fried rice. It was alright, but not quite what I was looking for. The rest of my party ordered various noodle in soup dishes and enjoyed them, so I'd recommend that. Finally, the servers were very nice, so kudos! Very much a Cantonese-style, family-oriented restaurant.
This is my first time writing a review. Two days ago I went to this place for lunch, then after I ate a Mongolian beef with lemon tea, later that night I felt like my stomach burned and food poisoning symptoms happened on me. Needs to eat medication to stop my diarrhea, I don't recommend it.
Lunch options are a bit expensive (just under $20 w/o tax), but rest assured it's totally worth it for the quality. Seafood udon on a sizzling plate is very delicious, and the curry pork chop was made so tender and succulent I couldn't get enough of it!
Service is really fast and the minestrone was a good side that came with the meal.
A few remaining good HK style cafe. Lots of different dishes to choose from. Opens late, (after 2022, so many restaurants closes early.) Friendly services. Gets busy at times, but what more could you ask for. Great food, fast service, and reasonable price! Love the curry fish balls with radish appetizer. Sizzling fried beef spaghetti, Big brother mixed chops if you are hungry!
One of the few HK style cafes in the area, this place serves up some tasty nostalgic hk food. They make really good baked pork chop dishes. If you're hungry, go with the Big Brother. This time I got the special with the 3 sauces baked pork chop (black pepper, tomato, and cream white sauce) that comes with a drink. Their hk milk tea is pretty legit too. I definitely recommend it! They have a special going on right now for lobster with e-noodle (braised type of noodle that's been previously fried). Really delicious and good price! I will definitely order it again!
Ordered Hainan Chicken with rice last night to go. Rice was so dam dry and hard. Chicken had little meat just skin. Mostly from the back of the chicken. It's cost over $20.35 - with a small size of ice lemon tea.
Taste of the chicken was ok but the value of the meal I will give only 2.5 from 5 stars.
I will not offer the rice and the chicken if I can't provide the good quality and value to my customers and I know how important to keep the business going but it's easy to ruin the business with few careless mistakes
. Hope the owner will notice this post and improve their dish or just take off from the menu for good.
The meat is all tendons, the fried rice is very very plain, and the steak combo is not steak, it's reheated cutlet and fries smothered in a thick layer of sweet gravy? Did I forget to mention it's duck and VIENNA sausage. It costs 20+ too.expected beef at least but no. The beef itself when it's not all tendons is decent but everything else is a pass. I don't know if it's all cornstarch in it but it tasted like cornstarch. Wait was long and staff was unresponsive too.
Hong Kong style diner food. Wide variety of comfort food plus regular dishes. HK style milk tea is so sweet and creamy. Would recommend.
The portion is generous and they always got my meal timely. I'll recommend this place when you're hungry and looking for hk style food. "Big brother" is pretty good when you're hungry and the price is decent. The only thing is that they sometimes gave me rice but I ordered spaghetti, however, it's still pretty good stuff.
