Verde Park, San Clemente CA

It's a nice park, big field. The parking is pretty small, but everything else is pretty picturesque

What a glorious, peaceful little gem, tucked quietly away in a residential area. It's tricky to find, as the driveway goes up a hill and looks very much like a residential driveway. There are no signs or banners to be found and once you arrive atop the hill, you'll be in a teensy parking lot, of I believe 6 spaces.

This lovely park has a small slide/jungle gym/swing area with bark groundcover, and also wide open, gently rolling hills of green space, surrounded by mature eucalyptus trees and flowering shrubbery.
Our trip found us there to enjoy our lunch at one of the two stone picnic tables in the dappled shade. We were the only two people in the park. Several squirrels and many Monarch butterflies were fluttering about, which led us on a search to see if they were resting high up in the trees.
It was so peaceful and beautiful! A perfect afternoon visit! Next time you're in the area, go on a quest to find this sweet gem!

What a lovely little park perfect for just throwing a ball for the dogs about the kids play on the swings it's wonderful
