Verdugo Skate Park reviews
13 The only skatepark I’ve ever been to that is closed in the middle of the day. Stopped by for a session during the holidays and was locked up. If I lived here I would file a lawsuit for discrimination against the city. You can freely play tennis, baseball, basketball or play on the swings… why is this park locked up?
So lame. Glendale is a weird town
Absolutely ridiculous that the park is not open till 3pm. What a joke. Adults skate in the morning. “Let’s open the park right when kids get outta school”- Glendale parks and Rec.
Cute skate park, was not crowded on Sunday. I like that they force everyone to set a good example for impressionable kids and require protective gear.
Large play area, picnic area and walk/ride path as well. My daughter was able to ride her bike and practice her newly acquired skills very comfortably in a large green area, but also in a large loop of concrete path that surrounds picnic, green, and playground areas. The restrooms were very clean, all with tissue paper, soap dispensers with soap, and running water. Great job and kudos to the maintena crew!
This is one of the best skateparks I’ve ever been to in my life recommend to do this fun jump here.
The park should allow scooters. Horrible rule that makes no sense and contributes to toxic skate culture.
Why are scooters not allowed? Shame on city of Glendale for allowing this discriminatory rule. Pads and helmet are great! But no scooters?
Nice bowls, nice transitions, and good vibes. Staff was cool, and looks like they keep it clean. Helmets and pads required. I will definitely be returning
Beautiful park, but you can’t skate unless you have pads, even if you are well of age to be responsible for yourself. EVERYONE has to wear pads…it’s like the Karen of skate parks
I love Verdugo Park. I have fond memories of my childhood days. Many, many Sundays were spent at this park. Now, I take my 9 and 5 year old kids doing the same exact fun activities. From basketball courts to the playground and everything else in between. I feel safe here and not in danger of any kind.
Great park, fairly beautiful. The parking meters are old school/ (change only, no cards) and parking is, a concern. But it's a nice park
My son says it’s the best skatepark he has been in and it’s safe and fun and the place is clean and the staff is nice too.
Wonderful windy day for a stroll. There were only a few people here and there, walking their dogs and doing their morning run. Absolutely perfect day to be at this park.
