Veteran's Memorial Park, Atwater CA

Love it now that there's actually an American Flag flying again even if it's in the corner of the Soccer/Football field. I grew up in the area when you actually had to be Military to even get into the park.

A family member had a party there and the kitchen was all duty and the manager was not nice at all. Definitely don't recommend.

Veterans park is cleaner than most and it's got an open restroom unlike the other parks around the area. Osbourn's restrooms were tore down because of the homeless people that would use them and mind you I'm one of those homeless, and then Winton park you can brave the Porta Potty that's there, when there's restrooms there but are locked most of the time. The homeless people that don't cause problems, are the ones that are having to pay for the mistakes of those that cause problems or mess things up and don't clean up after themselves. I was taught to clean up after myself and to be respectful to people no matter who they are. Veterans park used to be for the military? ️ only, and they took care of all of us people should do the same thing for the park.

We drive here from Merced because it's the only working splash pad playground. The bathrooms are usually clean, lots of shaded tables and shaded parking. Unlike other cities, this splash pad operates all hours, so you can cool off anytime as long as the sun is up. This is great during the week for working parents.

Swings need WD40 if you are lucky enough to be reading this before you go bring some or your ears will bleed.

Too many bums and dope feins filling the streets of Atwater. Sad. Our kids don't need to see this trash. Clean up, do your job Atwater Police Department! Show our town some love, protect and serve remember! Not just drive around abusing the badge. Be more like Lt. Joe Kenda

I particularly like that this park has separate playsets for different ages of children. Swings could use some WD-40, they are very squeaky.

Great park the kids love the water feature. They need to do some pest control spay or plant some insect repelling plants though

Nice commemoration but it's is a park. Unfortunately the playground and all other parts of the park are really boring.

Usually over crowded but the "spray ground" is awesome. It's like a little run around water park! But the water is recycled and tastes like concentrated sweat lol. The playground is very extensive and it has a very nice picnic pavilion.

There's something for everyone to do including the children and pets. They have everything from a zoo to a skate park

Large park. Not many parking spaces. Spaces for parking are scattered around the park and only fit 1 or 2 cars together. Great for privacy. Has a lot of tables at the center under shade. Family friendly
