Dive bar with a GIANT ️
-Not just for Vets
-Great Prices!

Everyone is invited, so please come visit and support Vets. The VFW is dedicated to the men and women of the US armed forces, who served bravely and honorably in various conflicts around the globe. They promote patriotism, care for vets, serve the community, respect diversity. This VFW welcomes all vets, their families, friends and non-military visitors.

I make it a point to visit as many VFW's on my adventures I'm a Desert Storm Veteran with the Army 11 years (12B RA & 13B Reserves). This small, out of the way, VFW welcomed us with open arms as is customary for all VFW's.

My friend Jeffery (AF/Navy vet) and I arrived on a Friday a little early, but our cool & pretty bartender welcomed us in and set us up with a couple "CL Smooths" (Coors Lights) and some Jamisons. We drank while she finished getting ice, playing music, TVs, typical opening up routine. She finished up and came back behind the bar and got to chattin' I don't remember her name, but I thank you for the hospitality. If you read this, I'm the Burbank guy who mailed you the 10 Line Football Strip Cards.

It's a small place on a large lot. Bar seating for about 10 + a couple of tables. They have lotto, a jukebox and a couple of 55" TV's w/DirectTV. On the side, there's a patio with picnic style tables, chairs, umbrellas, and plenty of room for your pooch!

The place filled up steadly as the regulars came to mingle and imbibe. Every person who walked in greated our "new faces" and took a moment to welcome us and hear our vet story. Of the 15 or so people, 5 of us were vets. The rest were family, friends, or locals getting an affordable beverage.

The place is small and feels dated and needs a revamp, (not cheap). They struggle to open daily and cover shifts. Volunteers work for tips. They could use increased visitors, donations, community support, and fundraisers to modernize and clean up. It feels a bit cramped and lots of pics and trinkets everywhere.

ProTips:
-Bring your DD214 and join up!
-Stop in for jaw-dropping drink prices!
-They have a happy hour, raffles, and fun fundraisers with treats/prizes.
-Have a DD or rideshare take you. Drink prices so cheap you gonna get drunk!
-Plenty of parking all around.
-Not a place to discuss political, religious, or controversial subjects.
-Looking forward to the summer BBQs in the back lot you was talking about.

Delightful staff & patrons - not quite ready to adopt as my home away from home, but I'll definitely drop in next time I'm up there!
