Ohana was diagnosed with leukemia in July. From the very first visit, the team has been caring, professional, and welcoming. Jennifer, Carlos, Carrie, Dakota, Dr. Oakley, and so many more of the staff take excellent care of your baby. I highly recommend VCG SFV if you are ever given the news that your fur baby has cancer.

I don’t even know where to begin with the care and compassion my dog Yogi and I received while he had his treatment with the SFV Group. From the first day, everyone was so kind and made sure I understood all my options. Although Yogi fought so hard during his 8 months seeing them, the cancer ultimately ended up taking my beloved dog since it was so aggressive from the start. Even when I called them to let them know how he was going downhill and decided to put him down, they were so empathetic and helped ensure I was making the correct decision in the end. All the kind words and gestures after I lost my best friend I received from them, I will forever be grateful for. I will also forever be grateful for how well they treated my sweet boy while he was in their care. I thank all of you for everything that you do. Yogi and I are forever thankful for you.

Took a minute to cool down before writing this review, and I want to make this clear. The staff was all lovely and my review is not about them personally.our little guy had 2 treatments here and when we came back for the 3rd, we were sent home due to his white blood cell count being too low. Fine. It’s normal. This was a Friday. We woke up Saturday and he threw up everywhere. Each hour a new scary symptom. By 2pm he couldn’t move. Was fighting a fever (didn’t know how high) and was shaking violently. Refused food for 30 hours. We were terrified. Ultimately I hospitalized our dog and thank god I did because his white blood cell count had dropped from 1900 to 200! Overnight. And this clinic is not open on the weekends. No emergency line. Nothing. I think it’s so crazy. I even called their sister property in culver to ask if i could give him an antibiotic since we were advised to not give absolutely anything to our guy while he was undergoing CHOP, but never got a call back. The vet at the ER was telling us he needed antibiotics bc he was septic. He seemed to have taught his fever by Sunday evening after fluids and we finally got a call back Monday afternoon from the oncologist. From what i gathered she said their urgent care next door is 24/hrs. Well when I called, they assured me it would be a 4+ hour wait and there was other emergent dogs in front of him, so I opted to take him to the ER hospital closer to us. Long story short this was a hellish weekend and I cannot believe there’s no oncologist on call on weekends. Even a chat line would have helped… I refuse to put him through that again so we have opted to try holistic remedies and keep him happy throughout his cancer fighting journey, but my husband and I both have bad tastes in our mouth after what happened.

Veterinary Cancer Group.
They are a group of outstanding, cancer fighting hero's who are phenomenal at what they do for family pets.

Every person who assisted and/or facilitated the care during our appointment was amazing. Carlos took our initial phone call to schedule an appointment but also helped us throughout the check-in process the day of our appointment. Carlos was not only kind, he compassionate, knowledgeable and patient answering all my questions and I never made me felt rushed during what seemed to be a peak hour.

The Veterinary technicians and Dr. Cesario were all amazing and displayed an outstanding amount of care and affection for our fur-baby. Everyone was informative and provided the best information needed to make the best decision for our family. Unfortunately we decided not to pursue chemotherapy but we are so thankful to Veterinary Cancer Group for the opportunity of options and great care.

We've been coming here for more than three years now, ever since our Boxer Bella was diagnosed with mastcell tumor. Dr. Oakley is fantastic, Megan and the entire front office and back office staff continue to be great. We feel confident that Bella is getting the best care under Dr. Oakley and the entire staff. THANK YOU!

I can't say enough about the fantastic care that my pup has received over the last year+. I would give them 10 stars, if I could. The staff, especially Dr. Oakley gave us hope and truly cared about our concerns. I don’t know what the future holds for Oliver, but whatever it is, I know that he will have had the best care possible.

It has been 2 months since my beloved Oreo left us, We took her to this place very confident that she was going to be taken care or at least make her a little better from her issues. On August 12th we took her to this so called pet Hospital she was seen late that afternoon.we received a pre invoice of $1500.00 to $1700.00 I had no choice but to accept and signed the invoice. WE received medication for her to make her feel better but she came home worse than she was, by next morning she just was laying down with tears in her eyes suffering, that was when we decided to put her down my heart was just shattered seeing her in that condition.when we took her to be put down I was asked for a payment for the services I gave them another credit card.on top of the other charges. I was over charged after several phone calls to the front office I finally talk to someone called G. G she assure me that I was not going to be charge on some disputed items.but when I received my credit card statement that charge was still there. I called again talked a supervisor and said she was going to look into it. I have called several times and yet to return calls and no refund. I writing this review for people to be aware of this hospital, I know that we want the best for our babies but we get abuse of businesses when we are vulnerable when our beloved are ill. My baby was and always be in my heart.
I did not want to write a negative review on this hospital but they are more concern on making money that helping our pets.

Pet cancer is just awful, but if you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of having to deal with a pet family member battling for their lives, Veterinary Cancer Group of SFV is where you want to start. I’m sitting here next to my cat in remission from nasal lymphoma that I didn’t think would make it to Halloween, let alone thanksgiving, and I’m reminded how thankful I am for everyone at this office. From Anthony at the front to Dr. Wiles, and everyone in between, these people literally treated my kitty Kevin like a QUEEN! Not only has everything been effective thus far, but my cat has consistently been happy and healthy, the team is super helpful and communicative, and here I am, another holiday in the books, able to hang with my girl. It’s literally everything you can ask for, especially in such a dire situation. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Everyone here is so kind and caring, we had additional questions after our appointment and called, they took their time to explain everything well and with care.

Thank you for making us feel informed to make the correct decisions and confident that our pet was receiving the best care.
