Victor Valley College, Victorville CA

Aviation program is a scam. I earned my Associates in Science degree from them, but when I went back to get my certificate for the FFA testing from the Aviation department, they couldn’t find my records? I have my transcripts, AA degree, but cannot take my FFA test due to their negligence. Apparently, the had an audit and in the process they destroyed records, including those they should have (they think we don’t know about this). The director, Chris Oshita, just blew me off. He doesn’t care about his students, his only objective is to enroll, enroll. Don’t waist your time with this program. To this day no one is willing to help, including McKenzie Tarango (vice president of instruction).

Financial aid office is terrible. I qualified for FASFA, but somebody in the office messed up my whole application and now I cannot receive FASFA because of them. I’ve been trying to get this fixed for a couple weeks now and I have been having zero luck. They will mess up your application, they are so messy. Multiple of my friends have gone through the same thing because they are so messy.

My experience with Victor Valley College has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. The supposed support and assistance that one would expect from a college are sorely lacking here. The help center, which should be a place of guidance, turned out to be a source of aggravation.

The counselors and staff are not only unhelpful but also shockingly cocky and rude. It's disheartening to seek assistance and encounter condescending attitudes instead. It's almost as if they forget that their role is to support students, not belittle them.

What's worse is that when I sought help, it felt like nobody truly wanted to assist. It's frustrating to be met with indifference when you're trying to navigate the complexities of higher education. The staff's lack of willingness to help only adds to the already overwhelming stress of being in college.

Additionally, the lack of clarity and guidance on important matters like college registration is truly concerning. Navigating through such a critical process should be made easier for students, but Victor Valley college falls short in providing the necessary resources. It's baffling that a college wouldn't prioritize such a fundamental aspect of its students' academic journey.

I sincerely hope that VVC takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary changes to create a more supportive and student-friendly environment!

Okay college. Tuition and such for me are free, so I can't really complain. There's a bit of a lack of online classes, but otherwise, it's pretty alright:)

Took a summer class here and it was a great experience for my work relate.
