Victoria Mexican Food reviews
19Came in for the special posted on the wall but apparently it does not come with a free soda anymore guy gave me one anyways thank you
It's in the middle of El Cajon but super delicious! Love their breakfast burritos. They also have good aguas frescas like tamarindo.
Hands down best shop I've had in years. The carnitas are actually better than my cousins from TJ. And they know how to cook! Better than familia made, and a price you can't beat!
Im very disappointed and mad pay around 16 dlls for 10 roll tacos and two drinks. They did not put any beef inside. Just the tortilla. So bad.
This is extremely dirty place! WARNING! DO NOT eat there. Upon all that the lady who works there is very rude
A good place to grab a quick bite to eat especially late at night when nothing else is open. The staff members are cool and work quickly to fill orders.
+has a drive thru
I was satisfied overall with this Mexican restaurant in El Cajon, CA and recommend it. I initially drove past the location unaware of its location, but with a few right turns around the neighborhood I was able to successfully return and order food through their drive thru. The atmosphere and building was not taken into consideration and a larger business sign displayed for drivers could help.
The prices were reasonable as my food cost approximately $11.00 for a bean & cheese burrito and 3 rolled tacos with cheese, Mexican guacamole, sour creme, and shredded lettuce. Not only was the food reasonably priced, I was happy to learn they cook with lard (instead of oil) and the taste was delicious. I also requested both types of hot sauce (red & green) and they both perfect. The red hot sauce is that wonderful watery type that has a kick of hotness/spice and the green hot sauce was mild and flavorful. The guy who took my order, collected payment, and provided the food was really nice and the food was delivered timely. I will definitely be back to enjoy more great tasting Mexican food at this place that offers a drive thru in East County San Diego.
I loove this place. Family owned. They always treat us like family. We've been eating here for 15 yrs.
Seriously? I can't believe the health department allowing this to be open.it is nasty, I got sick! Don't go there guys.staff is rude
Lady was yelling at me when I parked in there drive way she thought i was going for the next dose business while I was trying to buy food.and when I bought there food it was horrible and dirty.i through it in the trash couldn't continue eating.
Horrendous Cali burrito and customer service. There's a young man cashier who is as bitter as the food and I'm done giving them chances! I keep getting sick from here and all they're doing is earning themselves a visit from the health department. They put no love in what they do. Just shut down.
Look there not even good that's the truth.yes they have there times wear u can't mess that up orders but overall worst I been to, the sad thing is I keep going back, only because it's walking distance but if u don't have that good tasting food then Please get some freaking new salsa! Like water u guys there every day an are ok with that they probably got there own salsa for them
10 dollar California that only had Pico cheese and meat. Disappointing, salsa completely flavorless and watered down. You can get a better burrito literally anywhere else
I checked out this popular local taco shop several friends swear by the location. So here we go.
Location, easily accessible and a decent drive through. It's best aspect of location is all the nearby apartments. The area is really gross and dirty though with urine stains everywhere.
The food, I got the Victoria burrito which is carnitas and chili releno. Small for the price, almost half the size of other locations for the price of around $9. The flavor was pretty good and the combination is pretty fresh. There was a big chuck of gristle inThe burrito though.
The staff, the guy who works the window was cool, and helpful.
The extras, the green salsa was basically just green water and the only have green and red salsa, no habenero or spicy option.
The menu is also pretty diverse and an easy walk up window.
Results, I might eat there if I lived near there, if they had a nearby bar or nightlife I could see it being very popular. Aside from that there are taco shops on every block and this one just didn't stand out.
Every time I order a taco or even if the taco is in a comb ination plate. The taco shell is very very hard. It's not chrispy.
It is tooth damaging and tastes old and very oily.b
I'm not satisfied with a hard taco shell that taste like it's been sitting out all day. Not going here again.
I've loved their food since I was a teenager my experiences here is always the best love the food.
All the reviews I see must be paid off. The hot sauce is so watered down that you can taste the tap water and the food has no sense of flavor.
24 hrs! My bf introduced me to Victoria's over 12 yrs ago. It has never disappointed. I believe it is owned and family run. They are fast, generous with portions, and courteous. I've tried many items, but our go-to favorites are the Texas Burrito, with boiled chicken, cheese, sour cream, and french fries. Also a Quesadilla con crema (with sour cream inside). Yum! We usually share, but if really hungry, we both get the burrito and share the quesadilla. There is limited inside dining, but the drive-thru is often busy. Prices are fair for the portions given. Lots of specials of new items, and soft drinks are in cans. The Chile Verde plate is a good choice if you like fairly spicy.
I can only assume many of the reviews are from people who don't know what good socal taco shop food is.this place is offensively bad.easily some of the worst mexican food i have ever had.it doesn't even SMELL right.
PLEASE avoid this place, there are many taco shops in east county that are 1000x better than this place.honestly, i can't think of one that's worse.do yourself a favor and seek out GOOD food.
