Villas at Playa Vista - Sausalito

Community 'improvements' that never work or have made things more difficult, safety issues, and illegal rent increases. Regret moving in.

There are good things about this community and the area but this complex is so hard to navigate that packages never get delivered to your door or the package rooms, I’ve had so many packages lost or stolen, there have been quite a few break ins to peoples apartments recently, and the rent changed year to year are inconsistent (went from 5% increases last year to 12% this year despite starting rent rates dropping on their website over the last year) and do not fall under rent caps because of the building’s age.

Can get so much more space for the money in a different zip code because of the mandatory playa vista HOA fees baked into rent for the community pool and gym that I never use.

Really enjoying showing my boss apartments at Sausalito Playa Vista. The leasing agent, Markwell was exceptional with his knowledge of all the units we saw, answered our many questions. Was very attentive and had such a fun and engaging manner. Also, the units were nice as well as the property!

Patsy was so awesome to work. She was so warm and welcoming, very knowledgable about the property and neighborhood, and took all of our requests into account while helping us look for the best unit. We had a great tour with her and got all our questions answered:)

Even though we decided to lease somewhere else our consultant at Sausalito, Andrew Hovanesian, was great and very professional! Had we not had a special deal elsewhere I would’ve felt very thankful to be living here

I had a great leasing experience with Selena! We were impressed with the beautiful landscaping of the community and its many amenities during the tour. Selena was knowledgeable about the apartment and helped break down the costs for us - she made it easy for us to decide on this place. The whole leasing process was easy and smooth!

To EV owners. I am quite unhappy with the new charging regulations where they decided to add parking fees for overnight idling. Basically, you cannot charge your vehicle overnight unless you wake up at 3am to move your vehicle. And it is hard to charge it during the day as charge points are overloaded. EV owners make more short trips to charges during the day now.
When we tried to contact the office, we received a kind recommendation to adjust our schedules. I thought that the leasing office is supposed to help, but they do not. I will keep this review here for now.

Best Apartment complex we have live in. Love that there are gated
car garages, love that it's a dog friendly community. The plants are
well taken care of and kept neat, they clean the artificial grass
where the dogs use the restroom every day! The grills are cleaned
every day! The carpet in the hallways/ are deep cleaned about
once a month! There's security that drives around. The leasing
office is incredible and responsive. Selena Espinal is the best!
When we were looking at the runway and given the run around,
she took our time seriously and was straight forward, honest and
accommodating! Took the service to a luxury real estate agent
level!

I have been living here for 4 years and love it. The staff, management and maintenance is always super responsive and helpful. The complex is kept clean and well taken care of. Proud to call this place my home.

Love living here, best place to live during COVID. Housekeeping, keeps everything clean and disinfected. Maintenance, is excellent! Gallermo dose a wonderful job. Angela is the best Mgr I have lived here 5 years. I highly recommend. Suggestions Make sure you I do not live facing Jefferson, very quiet my location, and, take your time find a place where you can get the most light,

Neighborhood is fantastic and beautiful, but it's the end-to-end customer service that my leasing agent, Ashley Sitzman, that made my experience with the Villas so noteworthy.

I'm not one to ever leave reviews, but I felt that I had to in this scenario because of the 5-star customer service. Ashley is an absolute wonder to work with! I HIGHLY recommend that anyone considering visiting the property request to work with her. She is the most friendly leasing agent that I have ever interacted with in my whole experience as a renter. She's highly professional and knowledgable, and is as responsive as it gets. I asked every question imaginable about the property, and Ashley was quick to answer each of them thoroughly and comprehensively - leaving no room for me to get confused. Our tour was fun and comfortable, it felt like a friend was showing me their neighborhood:)

I had a stellar time touring the premises with Ashley and working with her throughout the leasing process, and will definitely refer friends who are considering moving to check out the villas and to speak with her since her communication skills and professionalism are top-tier.

I've been working with Berto Pahang and I have been nothing less than impressed. The professionalism at the leasing office is unparalleled - they are incredibly knowledgable and their willingness to bend over backwards to accommodate prospective tenants is a breath of fresh air.

If you're looking for an apartment in Playa Vista, definitely give the Irvine communities a chance and request Berto.

What an amazing place! Sausalito is definitely a place to consider for living in Playa Vista. A huge thank you to Chris Vargas who helped me set up the tour. He is very professional at what he does. He answered all my questions and the best thing is that he took into consideration all my preferences and concerns and offered all possible options that would fit my criteria. That's really amazing!

This community is the best! Sausalito is a perfect location in Playa Vista, everything in walking distance. Silicon Beach offices, Whole Foods, shopping, bike store, restaurants, movie theater, doctors office, weekly Farmers Market! As for the Sausalito community, everyone is amazing, friendly, and it's a safe neighborhood. Kudos to the community manager, Angela Meyers, and her team for keeping this place always clean, friendly and responsive maintenance service, and good communication to residents! It's beautiful landscaping makes it feel like resort living, but really is a truly comfortable, home-like place to live!

Playa vista portends to be a pet-friendly area. It is anything but! Literally had a security-for-hire in a yellow vest stalk me for three blocks today because my dog harmlessly walked on a grassy raised landscaping feature that has zero applicability for human usage (i.e, not a lawn area). Irvine company would do well to tell these security guards to stand down or else the Playa Vista will lose much of the manufactured charm that has been aspired to in the design/layout.

I recently toured a unit here with Selena Espinal and she was so great! Very informative and super friendly. Definitely ask for her when touring. She will give you great info about the area, the building and the unit.
