Villas at Playa Vista - Malibu

Selena did an amazing job answering all my questions and showing me around the buildings and area. Very responsive, polite, professional, and knowledgeable. Malibu is a great location to live.

A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I signed a lease for an apartment at the Malibu with Tina Tucker. We had the best experience in our life looking for a home thanks to her. Tina is the most professional, kind and attentive agent ever. You can realized about her enthusiasm and love for her job since the first moment you meet her. We were so impressed by her professionalism with her emails, reminders, follow-ups, etc.
It was very nice and easy communicating with her. She always answered our questions and doubts in record time. We were undecided among different units and buildings because all of them had something nice and unique. We were touring Montecito, Sausalito and Malibu. We visited the apartments at least 2-3 times during different days to check the natural light, the level of noise and amenities. She was so happy to show us the units as many times as we needed it which made us feel that she really cared about what we were looking for to feel at home. She never rushed us. Her support and willingness to find what we really wanted made us love the idea of living here! The personal touch that Tina had in the guided tours made us feel like a community, and it was definitely one of the main reason for us to choose Malibu Playa Vista to start our new life in California. We believe that her company is super lucky to have Tina working with them because she is the best!

I’ve been here a little over a month, and I love the apartment - beautiful well-kept property, updated appliances, pool like no other, and friendly yet efficient staff members. And I just love the neighborhood - Playa Vista, is one of the best places you can raise a family with young children.

The only reason why I’m kicking off a star is the package system. So since the month I’ve been here I’ve already had to file three claims for lost packages. The packages are dumped on the mailroom floor if UPS/FedEx/USPS doesn’t have lockers to check them in. They need to come up with an additional solution to overflowing packages in the mailroom. Because with the ongoing pandemic, online shopping is still going to be the predominant method of shopping for most residents.

Malibu playa vista has its pros and cons. If you live on the top floor then you are golden, but any other floor is pretty bad. Walls are paper thin and you can hear people stomping around all of the time. The best part is that if you call courtesy patrol to complain, they actually won’t do anything unless they can hear the noise from outside in the hallway. We once had people above us throw a potted plant off their balcony on the fifth floor which is not only terrifying to wake up to (it was 1am) but a huge potential lawsuit that you think they would be concerned about (imagine if that hit someone on the head walking down below?). And because that noise is not something courtesy patrol could hear for themselves since we had to call after the fact, they don’t do anything LOL. I once was so desperate for sleep that I begged someone to come to our unit and I opened the door so they could hear how bad the stomping actually was - at which point the security guard was blown away and immediately went upstairs to talk to them. I’ve talked to several people who have moved out of this building and into other luxury apartments in the area and the noise is not an issue. And yes, I recognize that this is an apartment but I promise you this isn’t normal noise you’d expect from upstairs or downstairs neighbors - it’s easily 5x worse. So long story short - if you can manage to be on the 5th (top) floor, then it’s probably fine…. You’ll hear people below you but it’s not as bad. Any other floor besides top floor… run for the hills

Tight security, prompt maintenance, clean public spaces, phenomenal location, beautiful scenery and surroundings. Dog friendly. Can take my dog out at 3am with no fear. What more can you ask for in a rental property

I just moved in and Berto was my leasing consultant and he was absolutely AMAZING! He's professional, patient and extremely thorough. I was "bothering him" daily with questions as I was trying to make a decision to move here or not, and he was always nice and very responsive to my emails and calls. He made my decision easy. I can tell he really enjoys what he does, which makes a huge difference as he's the face of The Villas' reputation. I never have written a review for an apartment complex before, so it says a LOT that i'm taking the time to do so now. Thanks, Berto - you're the best!

Chris, my leasing agent has been amazing. He was extremely informative and transparent with all of the information. He made sure to find an apartment that my fiancé and I loved. He has been great at answering all of our questions and being available so that our move goes as smooth as possible.

I moved to LA two weeks ago for work and I didn't realize how difficult it would be to find an apartment in the Playa Vista area. Out of all the apartments I viewed, Villas at Playa Visa - Malibu was my top choice because of the location, the vibe, and the amenities. But man, trying to snag a unit there is like the Hunger Games. When a unit becomes available, it gets snapped up immediately. Heck, I even put a tracker on the site so I would be notified of an opening.

If you're looking to rent here, ask for Daniel Savage. He was SO patient with answering all of my questions and was always available to answer my calls. There was one unit I really wanted but it literally got snagged within an hour. I was bummed but I put a hold on another unit that outside my price range but I asked Daniel if he could just monitor and notify me if the any units within my price range came up. Lo and behold the one I originally wanted became available this morning and I tried to submit an application but was unsuccessful. I emailed Daniel to see if he could help. Even though the office hadn't opened yet, he called me back and let me know he was able to make the switch for me. Amazing! I highly recommend working with Daniel if you're looking at Villas at Playa Vista - Malibu. I'm super excited to move in!

I had a showing with Chris Vargas and was very impressed by his professionalism even before I met him. His emails, reminders, follow-up were all outstanding. Chris has an upbeat personality and it was very nice communicating with him. I was shown two units which I had a tough time deciding on. We looked at both units 3 times and Chris was very obliging. He didn't show any signs of impatience nor rushed me in any way. Unfortunately, due to personal changes, I didn't end up renting at the Malibu. However, Chris was the one and only leasing agent that left a deep impression on me. His company is extremely lucky to have Chris working for them!

Absolutely love the personal touch they had with the guided tour and made it feel like a community instead of just another apartment.
