Vino Godfather Winery, Vallejo CA

Beautiful location with a great relaxing ambiance. I did a small walk around in the backyard. There were birds singing, the grass was freshly cut which gave the air a fresh smell. This location is peaceful with a lot of delicious award tasting wine. I hope you get to come by and enjoy this location like I did.

It began pleasant but quickly went south! One bad apple spoiled the whole thing! One staff member was overly aggressive and threatening, demanded we join the wine club. We will NEVER go back! Wine was ok

I absolutely love Vino! What makes it the best is the wine tasting staff. They are friendly, warm, and inviting. Every Saturday they have live music 1-4. Being a member has many perks as well. If you ever have an opportunity to visit this venue you absolutely must. The property is a beautiful vintage estate. You can sit in the porch and do tastings aa well as hang in the main tasting area sipping and having conversations with locals. It’s a great place to come by yourself, a date, or with friends.

Great time spent on a Sunday afternoon with wine and music. Enjoying their wine in the sunshine on the back. They had a great turnout so they added an hour of music so much fun.

This is a beautiful place. The staff the people and all around atmosphere is fantastic. The yard is amazing and the bands seem to be at a respectful level. Food truck with delicious food. Really a great way to spend an afternoon.

Great wine and even greater service! We had such a great time here. Joey and Tom were amazing hosts. We tasted many delicious wines and took home a few bottles, and met cool locals hanging out on the front porch. Beautiful old building and gorgeous setting. This place is a gem and we’ll definitely be back!

Whenever I visit, I see people I’ve met previously or I meet new pleasant acquaintances. I always enjoy coming here. It’s like a 2nd home with extended family from all over the place.

The wine is divine! Located in an old officers quarters on the former Historic US Navy Base, Mare Island. Beautiful interior to explore, porch to enjoy and expansive backyard for performances of all kinds. Highly recommend!

I took some of my LOP'S here for an outing. We weren't happy This place isn't handicap friendly. There was very little access to the house for people on a scooter or someone using a walker or cane so they only got to see the first floor and they couldn't get on the porch to sit and have a glass of wine. We went early in the afternoon but I heard it's a whole other thing in the evening. Not a good place for older people who can't walk or need some help in that area. It doesn't have any ramps only a strange elevator type thing in the back of the house that isn't even clearly marked.

Very nice mix of wine, music, and friendly folks. This last visit, I was not impressed with the band, Kalimba, as the vocals didn't even come close to EWF.

Even though due to weather the band cancelled late, the visit with friends in such a wonderful setting was worth it & they took GOOD care of us.

Absolutely lovely place! This is such a wonderful tasting room in a very unique house on Mare Island. The atmosphere is very chill and inviting and the staff is friendly and kind. (Tom is great!) There is a ton of room to spread out. There are several rooms inside, a very inviting porch, and loads of room outside where they host bands on the weekends. Bathroom is also super clean. I also suggest joining their wine club!

We had our daughter's wedding reception at Vino Godfather Winery this past weekend. Our experience was over the top amazing. The staff is wonderful, kind and so helpful. I cannot say enough how amazing our experience was and would HIGHLY recommend Vino Godfather Winery as a place to host any special event/occasion. Oh, and the WINE and CHAMPAGNE are really really good!

It was sprinkling when we arrived on Mare Island, an old naval installation with several victorian houses on the same street at this winery. It is beautiful. Timothy was such a great host. We received tastings and were encouraged to walk around the building and outdoors. Timothy also notified us of the food truck in the back in case we were hungry. The carne asada tacos from that truck are so tasty! My favorite varietal from the winery is the Petite Sirah but the Prosecco is great too. We even joined the wine club! You should go here.

Beautiful place. Stunning architecture, clean and organized facility, excellent service, excellent wine. In October I held a union appreciation party at Vino. Toni, the manager, met with me multiple times on the phone, in person, and via email. She helped me find the musicians, recommended an excellent local restaurant for the catering, and all the staff took excellent care of us all evening. They even helped set up and serve food. Everybody enjoyed! Griffin Education Association Educators love VG!

I’ve been to a lot of wineries in the 29 years of my life, and I’ve got to say, Vino Godfather has made it to the top of my favorites list. It’s located in Vallejo, just outside of Napa, on this old Navy base. There was plenty of parking outside, even on a Saturday. The tasting room is located inside a beautiful home that was built in 1901. On arrival, we were warmly greeted and welcomed to explore the estate. It was really fun exploring and walking around through the rooms.

I found Vino Godfather through a Groupon deal for wine tasting. We got way more than just a typical wine tasting. The ambiance, the quality of wine, the pours, the staff (Frank, Joey, and Toni), the entire experience was exceedingly superb. I couldn’t have asked for a better 30th birthday wine tasting. We loved every wine we tasted–especially the Prohibition Red, zinfandel and petit sirahs. I’m usually not a huge fan of zinfandels or sirahs, but these were so delicious. In addition to the wines, we also tasted their single sourced olive oil. OHMYGAWD…if you leave without tasting the olive oil…big mistake. Make sure you get a bottle of that…or several bottles of it.

Most of all, the staff and customer service are unmatched. Frank (the owner), Frank, and Joey went above and beyond to make this whole experience so memorable. What makes this winery unlike any other that I’ve been to is how they treat you like family. They are so personable and welcoming. They don’t push you through the wine tasting like the commercialized wineries up in Napa. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend my Saturday afternoon! Highly recommend stopping by for a beautiful afternoon at Vino Godfather if you’re in the area. Also definitely worth going out of your way for. They have a new customer for life!

We were there for the live band that was playing on Saturday afternoon. I'm not a wine drinker. They had a wine tasting area inside the old officers housing. The house is absolutely beautiful inside and out. Beautiful location for the event.
