VIP Alberto's Alterations, Thousand Oaks CA

Was extremely rude when he checked my wedding dress for alterations, gave an extremely high price and told us to basically go somewhere else when I said we got a much lower quote from someone else. This wasn’t the experience I was expecting when I went in for my wedding dress alteration! Don’t go here!

I needed a rush job on a new suit. I needed the pant hemmed and cuffed. I also needed eight buttons sewn on the jacket sleeves. I discovered my tailor of many years had gone out of business, so I looked online for a new tailor. I found VIP and read some reviews and figured he must be good with a 4+ rating.
I could immediately tell Alberto knew his business. And he promised to have my suit ready the next day. I was blown away by that. I thought I had found my new tailor! But alas, I was also blown away by his pricing! $35 for hemming and cuffing one pant and $40 to sew 8 buttons on the jacket sleeves!
I don’t plan to return. My wife might make me disappear. She thinks he conned me out of $75.

I’m incredibly picky about how my suits are tailored and i’ve never been happier than with the VIP alterations team. I’ve brought five different suits and three dress shirts on two different occasions to be tailored and every time this team has gone above and beyond my expectations. They are incredibly friendly and incredibly talented whether you work with Alberto or his nephew Jaime both do downright beautiful work and I wouldn’t trust anyone else to tailor my clothes. Pricing is incredibly fair and the turn around times are incredible especially for how much work they do. The entire staff is so friendly and damn good at what they do. I can’t recommend them enough.
