Cocktail Bar Viridian reviews
19First time coming here. I say-I like the vibe. They play my type of music. Not to mention the food. It was good! Bartender is very nice and love the cocktails. The reason why I gave a 4 star is the receptionist comes to move 1 seat to make a space for incoming guests at the bar and she comes again telling me they only give 90 min for us to seat unless we order more". It was a bit annoying to me but understandable- it was packed that night. Will be back.
Can't leave a review for the food because the kitchen was already closed. When you first enter the place it stinks. It smelled like something was spilled and they used a dirty mop to cleaned it and it got smeared everywhere. I know we should had left right then but my friend really wanted to try the place. The guy at the entrance was super welcoming. We sat and couldn't see the menu because we have Androids so they let us use their tablets, another plus for that. When it was time to order the girl took our order but kept skipping my friend. At the end we had to order for him because she wouldn't acknowledge him. My drink was FUNNY! Meaning it was greasy and while in the picture of the menu it had a nice garnish they gave it to me with a single leave of cilantro. That had me laughing the whole night! I couldn't finish the drink since it had oil in it, it was a bit bizarre. Overall the music was good and the place looked good, like Instagram worthy.
The salt and pepper chicken wings are, without hyperbole, the best wings I've ever had. They will change your life. Don't bother getting the ranch on the side because they don't need them. The first time I tried these wings I literally could not stop thinking about them in the following days and went back twice in the span of two weeks. One time I visited after work to delight in my usual order of wings only to be dismayed when I saw they'd replaced S&P with a new flavor, which was mediocre at best. But they've since returned to the menu and I hope if any Viridian staff is reading this, they'll do everything in their power to MAKE THE S&P WINGS A PERMANENT MENU ITEM!
Unique and delicious signature cocktails. The Bartender was very helpful in recommendations for drinks to start with!
Love the drinks and bartenders here! Very creative Asian cocktails with inspiration from Asian ingredients and dishes
A bit overhyped. Drinks were interesting but not that memorable. The garlic fries were tasty.
Been wanting to try this place for some time and finally made it in prior to a late dinner reservation at another location.
I asked for recommendations to help speed the process up of picking food/drink. Recommendations were spectacular. Some drinks are sweet so for sure ask before ordering if you prefer a boozier drink.
Food arrived slightly before drinks but it was a busy night so didn’t matter. Plus, I loved the casual setup of this bar. Employees know good hospitality and it shows, but it’s not stuffy.
I could see it being a really cool first date spot.
Overall, drinks and food were excellent. I want to come when I can try more of the menu.
Music was also excellent. I felt teleported to another world.
For those complaining about the time limit, get over it. Bars/restaurants run on razor thin margins. Turning tables is how profit is made.
If you want to camp out, go to a library. Or, better yet, start your night here and then head over to a dive bar where you can camp out all night on $3 beers. This isn’t that place.
Great drinks. Great food. Amazing service. One of the best bars in the Bay Area and it’s located in Oakland.
Innovative, Asian inspired cocktail bar with a fun, vibrant atmosphere. They'll come up with creative drinks to keep you coming back for more. I got a drink that looked like a Mahjong tile, but was gin and fruit jello. Good date night spot. Not good for large groups.
Vibes are high at Viridian. Super friendly staff and fun creative cocktails. The fried mushrooms were absolutely delicious. Would’ve loved to see more cocktails with Japanese whiskeys especially with how many different types were on the shelf. Knocked a star off for the price point, $14-15 for a cocktail is reasonable but some were $17-20 that’s pretty expensive even considering the area. 2 rounds and a snack was a little over $100 with tip. I really liked the matcha melon gin drink, also tried the coffee/milk whiskey one which was good but way too sweet and after half of it I was a little over it. Would definitely still return to see what new cocktails get rotated it.
This is a fun little bar by work. Glad it survived the pandemic! Their cocktails are unique and fun to drink. Also I love their elevated bar bites. Keeps me going back.
I liked the place and its food! Their garlic noodles were simply delicious The only thing I could complain about was their QR code menu which was a little difficult to navigate through using an Android phone.it was difficult to get to my menu and come back to pay
I loved the Tomato Beef so much that I make it at home now. But now the drink is really sweet? Pleeeeeeeease take the sugar out it used to be so good!
Cool vibes, good looking crowd. Everything you order is via QR code. Brussel sprouts were sweet and delicious. Drinks are good and in cool looking cups.
Cool hip bar that took over Plum bar. The prices of cocktail were about $15 with them being really well done (minus the old fashion, didn't dig it that much). Their espresso martini was really good.
The staff are attentive, quick, and friendly. When we first arrived it did smell like throw up inside and not sure if we became used to the smell or it aired out but that's probably our only complaint. Really like their pin, it's so 80's
Food was pretty good, but didn't wow me. The service and drinks were great, though so I would definitely recommend just for the drinks and good vibes.
Vibes and aesthetics are on point. Trendy & hip. Asian-inspired, neon heavy lighting. Seasonal cocktail menu.
Perfect for a date or small hangout with friends.
Garlic noodles are flavorful - would recommend!
Fun bar in Oakland with creative drinks. It was bumping on a Saturday night and felt very lively! Great to see an exciting new bar doing well by all appearances.
The ordering is all through qr/app, which worked well and avoided the headache of splitting a tab at the end of the night
Only popped in for a drink, so can't comment on the food, but the drinks were good. The service however was very slow. Only one bartender for the entire restaurant so the wait times were long. Still everyone was friendly and the vibe was nice so I'd go back, but understand you will wait a while for a cocktail.
