2 I’ve only gone once with a friend and it was my first rock climbing experience ever. It was a lot of fun but there was a problem. I jumped off the rock climbing wall from high up 2 or 3 times and ended up giving myself tendonitis in both patellar tendons and both quadricep tendons. It didn’t hurt at the time but the next day my knees felt a bit strange and I did some research on it. I didn’t really know that much about tendinitis and thought I’d be fine as long as I didn’t jump for a while but that was not the case. I went on a hike 2 days later and made my tendonitis way worse.
So my message to everyone is to be careful while rock climbing wether it’s outdoors or in a gym. Always downclimb and only jump if you have to. Injuring yourself will always result in having to take time off the things you love or making yourself significantly worse because you didn’t take time off.
Our first trip to VITAL was incredible. The environment is so relaxed and inviting. Te staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We were given a very explanatory tour of the facility which was very helpful. The color coordination of the holds was extremely helpful. Now I just need to build my strength and stamina to reach the top on more routes. We will definitely go back completely worth the price.
