Volcan Mountain Winery

After apple picking, we like to walk across the way to Volcan Mountain Winery to relax for a few minutes and enjoy a glass of their yummy apple wine. They usually have live music and food vendors with plenty of outdoor seating. Price for a glass is $9 and $28 for a whole bottle. We typically will enjoy a glass there and buy a couple of bottles to gift.

I want to start off by saying THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Last weekend our dog accidentally locked our baby in the car. The people of Volcan Mountain Winery were on top of it. Finding clothes hangers and other patrons to help and helping with the 911 call and offering all the supplies to help us in this time of need.

I have always loved this winery as a quick day trip from San Diego over the years. This was our first time back after having recently moved back. They offer a great military discount as well. But after their helpfulness and hospitality when the worst scenario happens to a family they are 5 stars plus in our book!

Our group had a good time here. Its not a long drive from Julian. We were able to have a tasting and bought a bottle to drink. We brought our own bread and cheese to pair with the wine and enjoyed the afternoon.
Our hostes/ wine pourer was really nice and friendly, which made it for a nicer experience.

Great place to have a glass of wine. Relax outside with beautiful views of the grape vines and mountains.

Had a SundayFunday with my daughter in Julian and we found this winery as we were exploring. Great little place and Kat, wine attendant or whatever her official title is, was super on all levels!

One of my favorite places! Yes, you will have to be patient to get your wine, yes it is always worth it. Mel isn't just giving you a glass of wine, but welcoming you like family, giving history lessons and generally being awesome. The wine is amazing and changes seasonally. Try it out, you won't regret it.
