Grocery Store Vons reviews
19No expiration date on the Impossible meat packages. Is Vons trying to get people sick? I brought it to the attention of a Vons employee that happened to be walking by. He had no clue why there was no expiration date on the packages so he went to ask the meat department guy. He then came back and said "somebody forgot to put the expiration date labels, I told the meat department guy about it. ". At the other Vons and Albertsons locations the Impossible meat products all have expiration dates on the package. Somebody at this location is not doing their job. This is unacceptable, I can't buy food that doesn't even have an expiration date. This incident occurred on 7/1/21.
The usual Vons location. Clean, well stocked, with helpful employees. Prices are in the high side but that’s part of getting a better shopping experience. Plenty of parking but there’s a line in and out of the parking lot. Fortunately the other drivers were nice and let you in line and stopped for pedestrians. Would shop here again.
Need more cashiers at the store the wait time it's ridiculous a lot of trash in the parking lot definitely the manager needs to put more employees on the evening schedule.
Unbelievable - I have never been robbed by a cashier before.
I asked for cash back ($300) she told me that she only had one $100 bill, two 20s, and the rest will be fives ; she gave me $150 in fives so I got back a total of $290 (she never counted the money in front of me - just once near the register and then handed it to me) needless to say, I'm never going to shop at Vons again.
Has everything that I need. Produce is fresh large selection in meat department, can be pricey on certain items, overall a great place.
They aren't enforcing masks the way they should be. Let someone not wearing one intentionally cough on us and did nothing about it other than ask her to leave but let her continue shopping when we brought it to staff attention. It's really sad that I feel safer inside of a Walmart. Disappointing because I do enjoy the selection but it seems ill have to take my business elsewhere. But I know I'm just one person and they won't miss my money. Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself and your health.
Update: It's been over a month I reached out on the contact us page and still have seen no results. Stay safe.
What l love about Vons it's the 'selective' variety that you can find. Fresh vegetables and fruit, different kinds of bread, meat, cheese, etc.prices could be a bit higher but the products are of better quality. My vegan daughter can find more vegan products here than in other grocery stores.
Always huge lines here. Please get self checkout! I'm not a Walmart fan but sometimes I go to the Walmart on the other side of the parking lot just to avoid the lines at this place.
Today was the first (and last) time I go to this Vons.
I wanted to come in for a quick stop just to pick up a bouquet of flowers. I would've given it 1 star but the second star is for the awesome selection of flowers.
After grabbing the bouquet I wanted I went straight to the line which was SO long it went all the way down to the last aisle of the store and then some. I couldn't believe how incredibly long this line was. I hadn't seen a line this long since the first lockdown hit last year. I tried to find an express line for 15 items or less or something like that but they did not have one available.
I waited for what seemed like forever in this long line until I made it to the front. When I got to the front it felt more like the DMV then an actual grocery store cuz there was a screen with that robotic voice telling you which line to go to.
As I was checking out I asked the cashier "Is the line usually this long? " & he answered with "Sometimes. Its long right now because there are only 2 of us at the registers right now. " Then the bagger said "It's also because it's a Friday. It's usually busier on Fridays. " So then I asked "Do you guys usually only have 2 registers open on Fridays? " & both of them just looked at each other & didn't know what to say.
So if you're looking to do some grocery shopping in a timely manner don't come to this place. What a waste of time.
It doesn't get any better than Vons! The freshest fruits. The best variety of everything I love my discounts when I use my VONS card the best hands
I got a deli sandwich a drink and a couple grocery items that other store's don't carry.was a good sandwich for 6 bucks.no complaints
Great deals and coupons. The staff is very friendly and helpful at the deli, the register and even when just passing by!
Vons is stepping up. Decent organics selection (but could be better). Prices not much, if any lower than Whole Foods. Can almost never find organic whipping cream, but good butter and egg selection.
Vons is too expensive, but has good quality stuff. However, Vons has awesome prices for Thanksgiving and you can sometimes find junk a competitive prices when they are on sale
Like what they did with the layout of the store with more lights more room to get around with a cart not just walking now if you guys could be lil more friendly and helpful. Judy? Was very not into visiting or asking about our shop within the store.very talkative with courtesy clerk who bagged our bags really heavy 150$ worth in 7 bags just barely made it in the house & we not coming back to this Vons.just different location will do the trick.
Normally the store is very good fresh vegetables today I was out for a quest how to make split pea soup no split peas on the Shelf had to go many places to find it everybody must have the same idea on this cold morning
Hardly any pasture raised beef, but puts the Open Nature brand with the pasture raised beef which is very misleading as Open Nature has regular factory raised cows and a name that sounds like they're in a pasture, but they're in a factory.
This is for the deli section and hot food, Rita and Maricela are always rude acting like they own the place. You ask them for the time when the chicken is going to come out and they say 15 min or so and you come back and they don't even have fresh chicken going or they haven't dropped some in yet. They have very bad customer service and always have an attitude. I don't like them attending and always let other people go ahead me to avoid them.
Always clean, well-stocked aisles, great variety of brands. Super-fresh fruits and vegetables, literally farm fields to the stores. Their butchers are ready to cut your meats to your order or fetch the size turkey your family wants, like in my case, always happy to help, no matter which store you are in! Prices are a bit higher than other food stores, so I usually buy when things I want are on sale. Savings can be significant when you hit the cashier
