Vons Chicken Fremont

Staff here is incredibly friend and not to mention that the chicken is made to perfection! Stopped by for dinner with a friend and ordered the soy chicken as well as the Yang-num chicken, both of which were cooked to a nice crispy texture that paired well with the side dishes of slaw and pickled radish. I’m a huge fan of this chain and this location does not disappoint! Will be back the next time to try their other chicken.

We ordered an order of wings (only) from this location during the super bowl, and they ran out of wings. It’s fine that they did, but they didn’t call to tell us that this was the case, so we were surprised to find out when we brought it home.

What we ended up getting were only drumsticks, which tasted bitter/burnt, which I suspect means that they didn’t replace the oil. We ended up tossing it all out, since they all had a bitter taste to them.

I’d think twice about ordering from this location again, especially when other options are nearby.

I was out of town and we went out here for dinner for velantines and it was great food and the workers were very nice and kind people, if I wasn't out of town and lived here I would go here alot but one thing I didn't like was someone said this drink was only $4 but turned out to be $12 but all and all it was amazing.

They should just close this location would be best for Vons chicken.

This is easily the worst location, chicken definitely not fresh. They don’t ever offer sauces they basically expect you to eat your chicken dry.

Hot tea is self-serve and complimentary! If you ask for plastic gloves to keep your fingers clean, they will provide them! There are 7 dining tables indoors. On a Saturday for lunch 5 were filled.

I ordered 10 chicken drumsticks. The chicken here is excellent. The crispiness remained intact as soon as I took it out of the box at home. If you want to experience Korean chicken, I highly recommend this place. The staff is friendly and has a great sense of service. I recommend it for a delicious dinner!

Maybe it's because I've never dined in but I don't see why this place is rated so highly.got the soy garlic chicken once, super dry and had a weird chemical taste.got the yangnyeom chicken, it was ok.fried well and good sauce amount but the sauce itself wasnt anything special.was looking forward to the vons special sauce chicken as it was recommended—worst one of all.the chicken was 50% skin, sauce was disgustingly sweet and tasted like cinnamon.no other distinguishable spices.only yangnyeom was something id eat without being paid to.

The food is good as usual. Solid fried chicken. BUT the service was so good. The main lady was so nice and accommodating. I would go back just for her. That’s what great service does.

Though the staff seems very fresh and young, they’re all really kind and sweet. I think they’re trained well and are all doing their best to be accommodating and hospitable. I think the culture derives from the manager, whom herself displays these soft skills.

Chicken is amazing! The honeybutter fried chicken is the way to go! 10/10

Consistently good Korean Fried Chicken. This is really how I would sum up Vons Chicken Fremont because I literally can go for months without getting chicken from here and when I go back, it's amazing as always. The chicken is lightly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. The kid and I always like to get the honey butter chicken because it's seriously the perfect marriage between savory and sweet. The other offerings outside of chicken are really tasty as well.

The service at this location is good, although some may think that the servers are a bit brusque. I have no problem with it, but some of my family noted that they feel a bit intimidated by some of the servers. They're not unfriendly by any means, but can sound a bit terse, particularly when it's very busy. I find that service is attentive, and when dining in, the service staff stop by when they can to refill drinks and check if everything is going fine. Overall, this is one of those places that our family consistently goes back to when we're having a craving for some good fried chicken because it's really that good.

Surprisingly, first time having Vons Chicken for me.

The two of us ordered:
-crunch fried half combo: big fan. Great crisp and good pairing with ranch
-crispy yangyum half combo mild: too sweet for my taste buds. Definitely prefer the crunch over the crispy
-rice cake mild: used the same sauce as the yangyum, so not the biggest fan. They also fry their rice cake, so the texture was a bit different
-large korean beer

We ate inside, but they have outdoor seating as well. Staff was friendly.

Easy parking in the plaza.

Von's never lets me down. The chicken is always on point, crispy or glazed or whatever. Garlic chicken is very flavorful and the crispy with the hot sauce is perfect with some rice. I've tried most of the fried choices and those are top two for me.

This location has had friendly and knowledgeable staff each time I've been in and would recommend it over anything else on Mowry Ave.

If it seems pricey, it won't after you realize how much better their chicken is than some white bearded man's secret spices on some dry second-rate chicken.

Been there many times. Taste always consistent and delicious. Quick and friendly service. This place is the best compared to other locations.
