Vua Bún Bò Cali

I wanted to try the king of Bun Bo. First impression looking at the menu was impressive. They have three different style Bun bo hue from the different regions of Vietnamese which I have never seen that in any Vietnamese restaurant. I went with the Bun Bo Hue and the beef bone. Unfortunately I was disappointed when it arrived. The broth was not spicy and it lacked a lot of ingredients that goes into the soup. The beef bone was full of fat and was not cooked long enough. It was hard to chew. The “large” bowl was not large. As much as I wanted to give this place two thumbs up, I was not thoroughly impress.

Not as good as their sister location on Westminster and Newland. The meat and tendon are too hard and chewy. And, they're non-receptive to feedback from customer to boil it longer to make it softer.

Everyone has heard of Bun Bo Hue, but have you heard about Bun Bo Nam? Well, Vua Bun Bo offers both.
Just a brief lesson: Hue is a northern city in Vietnam, where the dish originated. Hence, why we call the dish bun bo Hue. Vua Bun Bo introduces you to both the southern and northern versions of this dish - “Bun Bo Nam” and “Bun Bo Bac, ” literally translated as Southern beef noodle soup and Northern Beef soup. They have different topping variations such as beef flank or pork blood cake, but also a very similar spicy broth.
I love coming here to try those different toppings, especially their homemade pork loaf. The soup is spicy and quite rich, so don't expect your usual pho. You can opt for a large bowl if you're a big eater like me; if not, a small bowl will suffice.
There are so many variations of noodle soups, and we have only scratched the surface. Vua Bun Bo, while small, opens the doors for my family and me to try the different soup variations in my culture. I can't wait to come back again to enjoy the rest of their menu.

Delicious beef vermicelli, just eaten, sausages ordered separately look very attractive and delicious. Nam beef noodle soup with rare, encrusted and ribbed. Hue beef vermicelli with pork rolls.

First time trying bun bo Hue at this place. We came at 11.30 am, the place was not so crowded and the waiter was very kind and helpful. He explained the different items on the menu and recommended just the right sizes for us. I would love to come back and try other dishes on the menu too.

I tried Banh Canh (it’s a small noodles not a Big Noodles like Banh Canh! The soup very fatty! Bun Bo is good, don’t try Banh Canh here!

Bun bo hue heaven, this is where you wanna come get your fix and the extra side order of the beef bone is a must have. They get busy here during peak hours and parking is a mess but definitely worth the trouble for their food.

Flew all the way from Chicago to try this place and it did not disappoint. Busy day but the staffs were super friendly and attentive. They made my visit so pleasant. 5 plus stars from me. Will never go anywhere else for bun bo hue again. Definitely recommend this place.

Clean restaurant. The broth was good but not spicy at all. The small portion is small so I recommend getting the large.
They really need to add more meat for the price.

The tea is not super strong and real bitter like other places.

Bún bò Huế here isn’t good as before. The broth is salty with just couple extra thin slices of beef for an expensive price.
We will not come back again!

The bun bo hue here is really good. Only reason I'm deducting one star is the amount of broth when ordering for pick up, pretty stingy compared to other restaurants.

A special night from the first moment. Original, innovative and creative team. Excellent in all aspects. They show all their love of their origins with their kitchen.

The food here was so good, I loved how it tasted and it was overall like a taste of heaven! Highly reccomend, one of the places I have ever eaten at! The food here is just so good.
