Walgreens, Bakersfield CA

I have had multiple issues with the pharmacy here this one takes the cake. They always take forever, I see now the employees have a lot of sidebar. MJ came into her shift have a whole conversation with another employee while I waited to be serviced for while. Then kept giving attitude and when I called her out on it got defensive. My son is in a lot of pain and I needed the medicine. I didn't care if I had to pay for it. I didn't have time to deal with an employee who has attitude and poor customer service.

I gave this store a 5 star rating back in 2020: (I have used this pharmacy for over 3 years. The store & pharmacy staff have always treated me with care & respect. They have gone overboard trying to help me. Sometimes the outside lot has seemed dirty, but that is due to the transients in the nearby park. The pharmacy can get super busy, that's why I use the text msgs from their automated system that llets me know when a RX is due to be filled & ready. The mgrs there are kind & I thank them for always being so helpful. Many of their staff have also gone out of their way to help me.)
August 13,2023: Update review: I am unable to receive the attentiveness in the store that I used to. The pharmacy continuously bills the wrong insurance company even when I call ahead to advise them of the RX coming in that day & I have been very specific as to which insurance. Today they were supposed to have their drive up pharmacy open at 10am, it’s now 10: 15am & they just opened the curtain but I still have not been waited on, & I had to call the store to get them to open the curtain! There is now four cars waiting behind me. 10: 18am, finally got waited on. Then I got told that one of the meds would not be ready for two more hours because the girl was the only one there!

Pharmacy here sucks, they always take for ever to have a prescription ready. I went to pick up 40min after my appointment and the lady told me it was going to be ready at 1pm it was 11am at the time so I went home, came back at 1 and the prescription was still not ready. It end up being ready at 2pm. 3 days later my son got an ear infection I lear from the previous time I was there and waited 4hr before coming to pickup the prescription and the lady told me it wasn't ready that I could come in and wait for it. I have a 2 year old a, 1 yr old and a sick 7year old. Do you think I want to wait any longer? I will stop sending my prescription there for sure.

I did use their automatic phone option to check if the prescription was ready but it keep telling me there was nothing there under my phone number. Call the clinic and they told me to just go because most of the time their automatic phone service it's not always accurate.

I rarely leave reviews but I was very pleased with the exceptional customer service I received today. I had purchased a custom photo album online using my own photos. A short time after the purchase, an employee (possibly Crystal) called me and warned me some of the photos weren’t edited to the correct size, and therefore, needed fixing. I went to the store and Crystal was so kind to help me edit the photos on the kiosk. Not only was she super polite, but she was very knowledgeable about the photo editing process and was able to have my photos corrected quickly, and help me understand the process for future reference as well. I continued shopping in the store while Crystal assembled my photo album and less than 5 minutes later, she was so kind to find me in the store to deliver the completed album. It turned out great. I appreciate her attentiveness to detail and willingness to be proactive about correcting the error. It’s extremely rare now days that people will go out of their way to ensure a product is correct, especially when the error was my own fault. It really made my day. We need more workers like Crystal in the world. The store was very clean also.

Worst customer service. I understand that they’re always understaffed but leaving me at the drive thru almost 30min without a word, is not fair.

Was on hold today for an hour and forty six minutes before their lunch with one person ahead of me in call. They hung up on me at 12: 30pm to go on their lunch break.

Went through the drive thru I was The only one the store/pharmacy is now closed on brundge and Chester Ave, so I will be using the Albertsons/Von's/CVS on first St and Chester Ave! I can use my Anthem blue cross healthy benefit's card! For groceries, and over the counter product's. Making my multitasking, got a list for next month

I have hung out and put up with poor service for 2 years and finally transferred all my pharmacy needs to Rite-aid across street. Nothing but attitude behind pharmacy counter! Customer service is negative.

Horrible, worst Walgreens ever. Do not go here. Most unprofessional pharmacists on the planet.
