Walgreens, Oakland CA

Every time I refill a prescription, they have a problem with my insurance, and I have to hold their hand through fixing it. One time they said they didn't have my insurance information so they couldn't fill my prescription (by this point I had given it to the twice already) when I told them this, they looked in the computer again and found my info. This put a significant delay on meds, since it was several days after putting in the request that I found out they were having issues. Today I got a call that they were having an issue with my insurance, so I called them back and was told my medication wasn't covered. I asked them to run it again because it always has been before. They ran it again while we were on the phone and it went through. It always take an amazing amount of mental energy to deal with this pharmacy.

Tricia (or Trisha - not sure on the spelling!) at Walgreen's on Lakeshore is a dang saint. I have been having issues getting my prescriptions delivered during covid-19 and she has been the shining light, helping me navigate corporate customer service and the buggy app. She has shown such patience for what has probably been 5 different calls to try and get my refills sorted and sent to my apartment. All in all, GIVE HER A RAISE! Thank you Tricia for helping me get the medication that I need during this difficult time. <3

Pharmacist cashier was very disrespectful and the manager did his best ignoring him telling me not to come back in front of two other waiting customers. During this Pandemic.

Pharmacy:
My doctor prescribed a prescription for 50mg. The pharmacy gave me 150mg. Could have been a strong reason for a law suit. Thank God, I'm ok.

Got a text saying two prescription had been fiiled, come pick them up. THEY WERE NOT FILLED! Got there and was told "10 minutes". 25 minutes later I walked out without my prescriptions. Note there were 2 pharmacists and three others behind the counter. They also knew I was waiting. And I saw a lot of other prescriptions filled while sitting there. There is a Longs Drugs in the same parking lot that I should have all my prescriptions moved to.

Came here 40 minutes before closing and was told it was "too late" for them to help me find something.

EWWWW I gotta stop buying any kinda cosmetics from here. TWICE THEY HAVE BEEN OPEN & HALF USED

Just gross.
I really have to stop breaking the easy habit of going here if no one is going to check the returns. Don't take advantage of busy people.

This is a well-stocked, well-run Walgreens.

It's the standard utilitarian layout, unlike the one near San Francisco's Union Square.

Clean, well-lighted, makes for a completely satisfying pharmacy and health supplies visit.

If I could give them 0 stars I definitely would. The assistant manager Carlos is very disrespectful. Him and his employee racial profiled me and the fact that he taunted me instead of diffusing the situation does not sit well with me. I was treated keep a criminal and lied to about their computer system not working when trying to receive a western union transaction which turned out 5he were working after I called western union in front of them. Carlos implied that I didn't have the correct info for my transaction which made me feel like he was accusing me of fraud or something. And after my transaction went through which was weird because they just said it wasn't working, Carlos continued to argue with me and refused to put my money in my hand and he also never gave me anything to sign confirming I received my money. I am very displeased and will never set foot in this walgreens which is inconvenient because I live around the corner from there and always made frequent trips to the ealgreens for western union.

Friendly woman in cosmetics is always ready to assist! My main issue is with the pharmacy I’ve been getting the same prescriptions filled for 3 years and each time they never have it ready, say there is nothing in the system, ask what medication I am needing, and then I have to show them my phone to let them see the text alert from Walgreens and I again explain I realize you have to refill it so do it! I feel like I have to coach them through this process.

Standard store with the essentials. Building is older and feels a little dated. No drive thru. Parking difficult at this location.
