Walmart Supercenter, Poway CA

Walmart is Walmart. We went looking for some San Diego shirts to give to friends in other states but this Walmart had none. Now maybe its because it was close to Christmas but still. In Kentucky where we are from there is a whole section of Kentucky apparel.

On 11/29/2021 at 8: 00 am the staff with the platinum blonde hair, Hispanic trying to pass as a Caucasian, moved her position to stand behind me and watch over me at self-checkout as if I was going to steal something. Never have I ever been racially profiled in my life. I'm a university grad and I have never stolen anything in my life. I have never felt racially profiled in my 25 years of living. To be racially profiled in that manner by a Walmart employee is honestly laughable and offensive! Excuse my grammar, I am very emotional writing this. This will be my last time visiting this Walmart, I have been patronizing this specific store for many years.

Why do they bother having a phone with extensions for various depts and customer service IF They don’t answer.
I have been calling several times a day for the past 3 days and no one ever answers.

This is my neighborhood location I shopped for 20 years. However today, the cashier gave me a lecture of using meat bags for produce! I informed her that was what they provided in the produce section! She asked me weather I told any staff about it! I am a customer, I didn't even notice the differences between produce and meat bags. I only use what they provide. She kept on and on about some customers lined up the whole cart with bags! Then, the staff at the exit asked me something about "alcohol" several times which I don't understand due to her accent. I told her to check my recipe in her hand! As it shows everything, including a bottle of wine? The cashier is moody, and talk wayyy too much! The exit staff is incompetent and make customer uncomfortable interacting with her.

Large Walmart supercenter, a lot of varieties and has groceries inside. I bought some kitchen items, tools and vegetables. They can add more plants in garden center

Unfortunately its the only W. Mart around my area. Every time i go there its a disappointment.
I waited on checkout line for one hour & 15 minutes. Only two people ahead of me with not overly full shopping carts! They put an ELDERLY man as cashier, who moved slowly & was unfamiliar with veggies & had to slowly put glasses on & look up each item. I had purchased wine & a liqueur to add to a recipe in my grocery list so i was not allowed to Self check out. I asked him what’s going on. He had injured both of his wrists in his tendons & could hardly move his hands!
Idk ‍️ who is the manager on last night’s shift but, who has such a dull IQ- to do that to their customers before Thanksgiving & to the cashier (probably making his wrists more inflamed!)
I asked another co worker if she could help him & she laughed at me & refused.
Poway Walmart will ALWAYS disappoint & disgust.

Came here today specifically in search of these large pepperoni links. Very difficult to find elsewhere, I slice them in medium sized cubes and add them to 'Nilagang Baka' a filipino beef and vegetables stew.

Every time I'm in this Walmart I get mistreated by elderly staff who overly judge me and my wife, I can only assume for having tattoos and my wife has pink hair, or for the ever constant crime of simply belonging to the millennial age group. Constantly canvassed for stealing that I'm not doing, being subjected to arbitrary extra steps for buying alcohol that I am not seeing other customers subjected to, for the record my wife is 29 and I am 31. And generally receiving an attitude for simply existing in the store. Don't shop at this horrendous company;
there are plenty of other grocery stores in the area that treat me and my wife with respect.

The staff is terrible and that has only gotten worse in the last 10 years. They simply don't care and if you need help you get the feeling you are a major inconvenience. The store is usually clean. Parking is hit and miss. Just go down to Stater Bros.or Costco. Avoid this mess. 11/7/21. Not a single check-out open. The self check-out is backed into the produce. Walmart staff says they don’t have cashiers although three employees are watching the customers ring up their own orders. They have a sign out front looking for a Personal Shopper. I think they need to hire cashiers. Oh they did. I’m the checker. Wal-Mart should be paying me. I literally do their job. Sam Walton would roll over in his grave if he knew how Wal-Mart operates now.

11/20/2021 - Went to Lowes today instead of Wal-Mart.

2 stars bc someone came by and opened another register. Lines were incredibly long for the 4 open registers and all the self check outs as well. It took 20mins of standing in the like before someone else came to open a register. I was wondering where the managers were if they don't have enough cashiers. Several times a day they have 0 cashiers and it's only self check out. When you order for pickup not all your items are correct. Then when they make a mistake you have to be the one to go to customer service and get it fixed. It's unbelievable.

The worst experience I have ever had! I am only leaving 1 star because it won't allow me to leave none!

Today I was very astounded when using the restroom in the Walmart in Poway. I noticed the radio chatter first, and as I am washing my hands I notice an employee coming out of one of the stalls. She did not wash her hands. Even in the best of times this is not o.k. For anyone. Please, have your teams wash their hands!

A lot of the shelves seem pretty empty although I was able to find a couple things that were unavailable at Vons.

Following a sports injury, needed to use one of the electric scooters to get around the store. Went through 4 of them, all with dead batteries before I just gave up and left. They are scattered all over the parking lot with no charge. What a disgrace. Be better Walmart.

Wal Mart drives me crazy. They Are always out of stuff and they are stocking shelves during prime business time lines are long.

Found what I was looking for. Walmart super store is your goto place in a rush for quantity
