I have been attending Warehouse for over 40 years. I have tried other churches, but this is home. I have learned so much from pastor Neely. He truly has been inspired by God to reach and teach his sheep. I still have much more to learn. When I miss church because of illness or family obligations I don't feel centered. The podcast help, but it is not the same. God continue to bless this church and the pastors. Amen

This is a ministry rather than a Church. It was founded by Louis Neely many years ago. The founder has kept the faith and not strayed from teaching his personal interpretation of the Word of God.

Here is some information on alternatives to this ministry that spring up here or there over time that are not similarly scripturally grounded:

Cult-Controlled “Christian” Churches

New cult-sponsored “Christian” churches arise when people feel that their needs are no longer being fulfilled by mainstream Christian Churches (ref. 1st Timothy 4: 1-2). Cults are usually founded by charismatic individuals rather than by groups of Christians.

Cults historically flourish in new, wealthy, growing areas especially during periods of social and/or political turbulence where there is a breakdown in the structure and rules of the prevailing society.

Cults traditionally have a secret underlying agenda and are founded through deceptive recruiting (e.g, working with family issues, drugs problems, etc.).

Cults particularly appeal to depressed, lonely, rebellious, unaffiliated, ungrounded, and vulnerable persons. Cult leaders prefer to recruit those who are rich, vulnerable, lonely, friendly, obedient, altruistic, and malleable. They do not desire to recruit recalcitrant, disobedient, self-centered individuals, as they are too difficult to mold and control.

The underlying agenda of the sponsoring cult is that of increasing power for the founder/leader, financial gain, and expedited cult growth (to the detriment of the spiritual and emotional growth of the individual members).

Also, the financial workings of the cult are hidden from the members. Acquired tithes and offerings are thereby easily siphoned off to support the financial interests of the cult leader and any (undisclosed) financier (s) of the cult and its property.

Total control over the group and its activities are very evident in a cult. The leader maintains very tight control over activities.

One blatantly clear mark of a cult is that Christian testimonies of the founder/leader and members of the “Church” may be absent or minimal!

Members heavily supporting the cult may ultimately become depressed, disheveled, and even unemployable due to the spiritual and emotional undertow caused by the cult.

The dangerous underlying reality is that when a person is no longer useful, or has developed serious emotional needs (in addition to the ongoing unmet spiritual needs), he/she is quickly and quietly blackballed from the cult. This blackballing seriously compounds his/her problems.

Cult-sponsored “churches” do not follow Biblical principles in relational areas. Maintaining the illusion of a perfect church and leaders is the supreme goal. Members suspected of having imperfections may be blackballed rather than being: (1) confronted by their accusers (ref. Matthew 18: 15-18), and (2) encouraged to grow in their alleged weak areas.

This un-Biblical situation provides Satan with a vicious tool to covertly discredit and blackball any Christian persons that have erroneously and unknowingly become involved with the cult (ref. Revelation 12: 10, Satan is the accuser of our brothers).

Hate, and not love, more accurately describes that which is done to the victims of the cult. Founders frequently have misogynistic personalities (as described fully in the book, “Men Who Hate Women and the Women Who Love Them”).

Misogynists are generally handsome, charming, and charismatic individuals who ultimately do great harm to those who fall prey to their charming and seductive words and mannerisms (ref. 2 Peter 2: 14 and Proverbs 2: 16-18).

Although cult leaders may appear charming and charismatic, they are mental abusers, controlling tyrants, and manipulators, who attempt to take away the freedom of those involved to reason, create, criticize, and change.

The book, “Cults In Our Midst – The Hidden Menace In Our Everyday Lives 1995, ” by Psychologist Margaret Thaler Singer provides extensive information on the subject of cults

Pastor Louis is a very good Bible teacher. I love his teaching. However, this is not a friendly church, so much to the point it seems dead. I have been going there several months and not one person has spoken to me. I dont expect to be fawned over but a smile or hello would be nice. When you are new all the responsibility to connect can be daunting. No one smiles. Seems everyone keeps to themselves pretty much. After the message most head out the door and leave, does not seem to be much fellowship even by regular attendees. They are doing outreach with fliers trying to invite folks to the church, which is good. But one has to ask why would anyone who does visit return again when met with the coolness that permeates the congregation. In spit of the good teaching I dont know how much longer I'll continue to attend.
