Hobby Store Warhammer reviews
7For a store that centers around selling miniatures and boardgames you'd imagine it would be a fun and carefree place to let your imagination run wild. Well, at least for us it used to be that way for as long as we can remember. We used to love spending easily over a hundred dollars on paints and a few box sets, spending the day playing a match on their tables. Their previous manager was great! But with this new management, im taking my business somewhere else. After spending a lot of money on sets there, the manager was rude and almost happy to chase us out of the store after we tried to have a friendly match because a few of our models weren't up to his standard of play. That right there was the most unprofessional thing someone, especially a manager of a tabletop game store could do. Im taking my money, time, and buisness somewhere else.
This is the best store in town for miniatures and table top games. I went in to check it out for the first time and the salesman gave me a free lesson on painting. He even let me have the little figure. Now that's customer service!
Used to be a place I really enjoyed visiting. Ever since the new store manager came through, he's changed the environment. I would drive all the way from Santa Barbara to hang out all day, but now I no longer feel welcome except as a source of money. It's no longer ok to spend any amount of time in the store unless you are actively spending money or playing a game, the manager will ask you to leave, even if you've made a purchase earlier. I'll be taking my business to Thousand Oaks now, I know the manager there will treat me like a person instead of a wallet with legs.
The guy there was awesome helping my son need more people like that people who enjoys what they do.
Best place to get warhammer models but you already knew that, however something to note of this store is the staff. Ryan is extremely helpful in every aspect of warhammer but more importantly he is truthful and doesn't attempt to push you into buying things that you simply don't need. He's always a charm to talk too and I always end up spending 10 to 15 minutes just gushing about warhammer stuff. Always a good experience!
Friendly staff eager to share knowledge and find you the right product. Beautiful models and products; great variety. High prices, though.
Great small GW store. They have a huge selection of 40k and a good size AoS section and some paint and a taste of the black library. The guy working every time I go in is really nice and will be more excited to be there than anyone else. He is very helpful and always gives my kids a little swag when we are in, you can tell he really loves what he does.
