If I could give this place 0 stars I would. 1st of all its in a ghetto neighborhood. There are tweekers on bikes rolling in. No safety for your car. I wouldnt trustnit here. It should be on 17th and waterman since that's where the parking is at.the nurses are rude. The staff is dirty. They refuse to help. They have 3 beds to a room with no space. The wheelchairs hit the curtains. No chairs for visitors. There no outlet to charge thier patients phone. They have no tv for the patient. They left a stroke patient without offering to feed him. He needs help and so my dad had to call the nurse. The nurse said " oh he didn't ask for me to.feed him.she dropped his tray off and left.she as a nurse didn't even ask.idk what kind of school you went to. But just as a person you should ask.knowing he can't feed himself yet bcz he had a stroke.changing bandages is horrible. They refuse to change a leaking dirty bandage. They also said " we need a dr order to say to change it daily.umm idk what brain cells tell you that.clearly if it's dirty you change it to prevent infections.all visitors have to have total ppe gear To visit.they never answer the phone even when you are in the lobby watching them hangup or place on hold.this is one of the WORSE care facilities I have ever been to. It has been nothing but problems. No matter who you talk to even the managers, charge nurses, board, nothing is resolved. How can you treat anyone like that? No humanity in this building.

The old review was me being told to write one but sadly this place was reallly bad! Cnas like harrasing you and when you report it nothing is done sadly cna that was harrasing and threatening me and messed with my car still works there I worked a lot of doubles and
Always was working night shifts when they had no one and then got my hours cut short and I was upset that Everytime I stayed a double my patients where never changed they would be soiled from top to bottom I always reported it nothing would be done I just got
Tired of it and left but that’s my experience but another thing no air conditioning that place is hot and maintenance be gone all day even when we ask for them to fix something they had these fans that bearly
Threw any air but yes I think this was
The end of
Me
To look for another
Career this is why nurses are leaving and facilities are getting short again

Most of the Nurces CNAS talk to the patenting a disrespectful manner, a lot of the time they don't address the lights outside the patients doors, I've gotten worse while I first got here 4 days ago, it took over 24 hours to just get a sheet, then later a blanket. Because the Doctor put in the order for insulin without talking to me, I was getting way too much insulin, and my blood sugar went as high as 420 and I passed put. My legs are swelled up more than ever, and the infection in my baby toe I was certain that it got worse, but luckily it didnt because I got it wet when I took a shower which I should have gotten more help but I refused it because I really didn't want a man to help as I get really uncomfortable. I was also upset because my dressing didn't get changed the next day, which I was told by my foot Dr.it was going to have to get changed 7days a week, but I learned that it was only supposed to get changed like 3 or 4days a week. This shows a lack of communication between Doctors, Nurses, and patients. I updated this because I was so mad that I totally over reacted. But I will say that some of the employees here Don't realize that because some patients like me have mental health issues, and some may actually hit one of them because I seen it happen at another facility but that doesn't make it all right to lash out at the patients. I look at the situation if I was an employee would I want someone treating my family member like that? And how would my family or friends react if they new how I treated a patient. The worst thing you can do is make a situation worse by causing a seen. Because a lot of people are in pain and have also mental health issues the employee should try to keep it calm and not rouse up a patient because it can trigger a bigger problem were some gets hurt or worse. I tried to tell the staff at another facility that my roommate didn't look very good and the should check him out and they said they be in in a minute. When I went and told then again that he looked and acted worse they still didn't come right away, but when he did they found out that his blood sugar was extremely high and they called for ambulance. Later at the hospital he went into a diabetic coma and died. This could of been avoided.

It has been brought to my attention from a patient that they have been living without air conditioning for approximately one week if not longer during this very hot time of year. Also, during when covid was a thing, they were not limited or restricting access and taking precautions as they should have been, causing a high number of positive cases, presumably because they would make more money from the insurance and the government. This place should be investigated and maybe even shut down.

The staff was great. The director of activities would go beyond her work to help. She was so kind and loving.

Mariah (Henry's daughter) needs to be fired ALL the LVN and CNA hate working with but management doesn't do anything. All she does is sit at her dad's office or hides the residents hate having her.

HORRIBLE PLACE! My dad was in here for a month and they neglected him the whole time. He would push the button for help no one responds EVER! He had to call 911 for help because no one there checked on him. The staff is ghetto don't care about there jobs to them its just a paycheck and not actually caring about the people. If you care at all about your loved ones DON'T bring them here!

I would to take moment and write my experience at Waterman Post Acute. First if you haven’t try this place you are missing out. From staff to residents the energy they project is amazing. If you are looking for a place for your love ones to go to and do therapy this is the place to continue their care after been in the Hospital. Thank you Waterman Team.

Extremely smelly, beds are extremely old. Bed tables falling apart. There maintaince is so bad that they expose their residents to unnecessary fire hazards.
Was fixed when it was pointed out.

How ever there staff seems adequate in the morning.
There, RN care is excellent.

To improve PT. Care, they should have EKG Monitoring for those post MI pt. And have continuous BP monitoring.

This facility is my 2nd home. I've been working here for 27 yrs. Nurses have good attitude towards co workers and patients. Administrator, DON, ADON helps when you need them. Of course, sometimes, we're having some issues regarding pts.behavior but it will resolve. Teamwork is the key to getting work done.

Waterman Canyon is a great local rehab and convalescent facility that welcomes all. The staff is very friendly and helpful and willing to work with patients from all different backgrounds. I appreciate that they don’t discriminate against people who are less fortunate.
