This is the best place so far for buying succulents and cacti! This nursery is huge, with outstanding varieties to select from, and prices are about equal to Home Depot and Lowe's (limited varieties). The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially in locating where to find certain varieties on their huge lot. A wonderful bonus, is their free plant giveaway on every 1st Saturday of the month!

I had a lovely experience at Waterwise Botanicals today! The location, first of all, is excellent-right off the freeway. The parking is great, and the entire nursery is open to the public. Literally EVERYTHING here is absolutely beautiful and all the plants are thriving and very well taken care of. I did not see one pest on these plants besides your typical regular flies here and there. But I did see lots of bees and butterflies pollinating.

The covered succulent nursery is full of tiny $2.75 and $3.75 pots, $4.50 small cacti and other larger plants. Each plant is labeled, so you know what you are buying. They have every drought tolerant plant you could think of. They have a large variety of unique planters, not a huge selection of basic pots, but rather, they have tree trunks, bark pieces, boxes, and other natural unique items to use as planters. From tiny - to big trees- they have it all here.

The rest of the nursery is vast, take your comfortable shoes to walk around acres of potted drought tolerant plants! As I walked through the entire area, the plants just felt so happy. The cool ocean breeze comes through the hills keeping this area at the perfect climate for happy plants. There are also several ponds with benches to sit around, and very unique landscaping designs throughout the grounds.

Prices are very reasonable! I got a wide variety of succulents and cacti for around $50! I will definitely be back for more!

Bernardo was very informative! He explained what soil to use, how often to water, how to care for each, and I received the most pleasant customer service. Alma also helped me and everyone here was so helpful!

There was a couple from San Elijo buying two carts worth of plants and they also mentioned how pleasant they felt walking through the nursery grounds!

Thanks Waterwise Botanicals for providing such great quality, well-cared-for plants!

Don't miss this excellent nursery!

Lovely nursery with some wonderful people working there. Several fish ponds with picnic tables, mature trees for shade scattered throughout, and quite often they offer more unusual plants that you can't find elsewhere (especially succulents, which is what I went to see). Can't wait to to go to one of their Free Succulent Saturdays!

Unique, fabulous nursery run by Tom 'The Plant Whisperer' Jesch. The variety of plant materials, along with the expertise of the staff makes for a very productive visit. Look at this gorgeous center piece I made from driftwood purchased there along with many of their plants!

They have an extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. The owner is always willing to take time and talk to you about his plants and his ideas. He has a great eye for color and does some striking combinations with a variety of native plants.

Great experience at Waterwise Botanical Gardens. So many varieties and sizes of hundreds, if not thousands of plants. Will be coming back in the near future.

Incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Tory and Karli were so helpful and willing to help "launch" my new succulent hobby. Free classes and fair prices. You can tell that this place takes much better care for their plants than a big box retail store.

Do your soul a favor and go.don't question it, just go. If your still sitting there then checkout the videos on YouTube to get an idea of what to expect. Aside from feeling relaxed and inspired every which way you look, you will see things you never knew excisted. All the staff is extremely knowledgeable and willing to help if you need them. Seriously, just go!
