Watts Music reviews
13Finding a good record store is a gift. I've spent many hours over many years in records stores, and some you go to just for the quantity or selection, but often the staff can be unbearable. Here at Watts, the owner is super mellow and knowledgable AND the prices are good with a great selection. That combo is rare. I'd recommend a visit to the shop if you like listening or collecting vinyl. Make sure you bring a list!
They really know their music thre. A great place to learn about and/or buy some great music.
Fantastic selection and prices. Customer service was also on point. Thank you for making my experience such a good one. You have gained a customer for life.
I've been going to this record store since I was a teenager in the 80's.
Watt's has everything you want, and if the stuff you weren't sure you wanted.
New and used LPs, CDs, and even used cassettes.
You can spend hours in this shop, and if they don't have what you're looking for the owner Darren will order it for you.
If you're looking for a good old fashion record store with everything then and now, this is the place for you.
My suggestion is to grab some breakfast or lunch at Marvin's, then head over to Watt's which is a block away. You'll be happy you did.
It seems small at first, but the closer you look, the more there is to see. New & used, CDs, cassettes and vinyl. I found more when I stopped searching for specific things and started looking at what was in front of me. There's a lot of history here. Good prices. They appreciated that I asked permission before taking these pictures.
This is legitimately the best record store I’ve ever been to. It really doesn’t get better than Watts.
I love this place. Every time you go here they always have something that you want to buy and it never disappoints.
Great place to pick up some great vinyl. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The kids (teenagers) love coming in here and checking out all the music with me. I love supporting local businesses when I can and this is a no-brainer since it's fun to check out what they have and also find things you didn't know you were looking for.
Loved visiting Watts and Darren was really helpful. Great selection of new metal and used rock albums … granted most top tier bands albums are gone already. Very reasonable new album prices and better than most used album prices. Condition was also better than normal for Bay Area. I ended up spending way more time and $$$ at Watts than I intended. Well worth the drive from the South Bay. I’m planning on going back to Watts as soon as I can.
I've been coming to this store since I was a boy. Sparked my love for music. Please visit this store, excellent selection, excellent vibe, excellent staff, excellent service!
What a cool place. Has a great selection of records, CDs and tapes at very reasonable prices. The owner is also really fun. Also a great selection of album covers. Will definitely come back the next time in Novato.
Love Watts! I’ve quickly made this my regular record shop. Darren is a really solid guy who obviously knows music in and out. The kind of service here is what you would expect from your local record shop. Good vibe and always getting in new stuff to dig through and of course ordering the newest drops as well.
Great store. Selection, pricing, organization, and the guy behind the counter. I'll be back!
