Easiest camp ground to get to if you come in the park from 41. Great sites right up against the river. Been camping this are most of my life and this is one of my favorite places if we want a quick trip.

What a great way to spend the night in Yosemite! It smells wonderful and the food tastes so good when you are camping! It’s fun to go gather wood for a fire that night! Unless there’s a danger of forest fires! I love Wawona campground because I’ve stayed there several times over the years! It’s amazing and always fun to go back to!

Awesome campsite! Facilities were taken care of and stocked. Campsites are a little close together but that’s ok. You have the river running right by the campground and that was pretty cool to listen to.

Spots by the river are beautiful but even if you aren't right by the river, you can still hear it as you fall asleep, which is nice. Very friendly park rangers and clean bathrooms (just know there are no showers though).

- easy Check in and Check Out
Dont worry If u arrive after 5pm. The Rangers wont be there but you have to Check in the next morning at 9am.

- Campground ist near a cute River
- enough toilets but unfortunately no showers

- bear storage box on every Campground

Warning: If you are thinking about sleeping in you car. You can do that but even in summer it get's super cold at night and the camground may not be on a levelled sufrace. It's Not that comfortable.

Pros: . Flushable toilets, running water, soap dispenser to wash hands, right next to the river
Cons: . Large group site can be loud and there's no staff past four, also the camp is right next to the road so your campsite can get headlights all night and traffic noise

Campsite eight is near restrooms but also near group site and the road

Very nice next to a lovely steam. The only downside is that the sites are close together so depending on your neighbor you may struggle with this. We were lucky and it was wonderful.

I haven't been there since the 1970's, my dad used to take me and my 6 brothers there starting in the 1960's and we would always hike down about a half mile to the big rock with the rope swing, I wonder if it's still there? After a week of camping, we would go to magic mountain on the way home to Buena park CA. Great memories ️.

Beautiful campground, especially by the river, very close to wawona camp store/gift shop, post office, gas station, visitors center, hotel restaurant, historic art studio, not to mention Mariposa giant Sequoia Grove. You'll almost certainly need a reservation during peak season

So quiet, clean flush toilets, large food storage bear boxes next to merced river, close to Mariposa Grove, Wawona Hotel and Restaurant, a small market, and only about 30-45 min to glacier point

My first time camping in Wawona and found the area perfect! 097, LOOP C was our site, which gave us at least 30 feet of isolation from other campers! I will diffidently camp here again!

My favorite place to camp. We come here every year. Much less crowded than the Valley. There's the Wawona Store about a 5 minute drive away, and the Pine Tree Market a few minutes farther. Great hikes all around the area, too.

The grounds are clean, lots of trees, and right next to the river. And in the hot summer months, the river is so refreshing. Loops B and C having working flushing toilets, while loop A has porta-potties. The bathrooms are relatively clean, but it depends what kind of campers are there. It's amazing what a human can do to ruin the bathrooms. The staff are also friendly.
