I used Weebly for years for personal travel blogs and such and really liked it. So when I had to switch to an online order/delivery service for my business due to COVID-19 I went with them. Their website builder was drastically different than before and much more basic. Through customer support I learned that they had just been bought up by a different company that was implementing their system. More functionalities would roll out in the near future. Fair enough.

I built a really basic website for my business (all I needed and wanted anyway at that point) and added an "Order online" page where people can order my products.

All seemed well for about a week and suddenly customers started having trouble ordering. They keep getting a "Incomplete delivery address" message and no matter how often they change or correct the address, it will not place their order. I have contacted customer support three times now and every time I am on hold for about an hour, then get a very concerned person who "totally understands my problem and that it is very hard for me and who will make sure they look into this for me".

Aaaaaaand crickets.

It has been close to two months now since my first call and two weeks since their last request for more information (which I provided).

After asking fellow business owners in town I have learned that many of them had similar problems and have either switched or are looking into switching.

Long story short: Weebly was awesome in the past, maybe they will be again, but for now: stay clear and go elsewhere. Maybe you get lucky and you have no issues, but if you do (when it really matters) they will leave you hanging.

My account which includes 5 paid domains was being locked out for more than three weeks. The websites that I posted for my clients are no longer showing as well.
It took Weebly two weeks to respond. Only giving me the link on their website stating violations, which I read so many times already and could not figure out what I violated. Not only did Weebly not give me a specific reason of which violations did I break. Weebly didn’t even tell me which website was involved.
After waiting for weeks, the respond from weebly makes me even more confused.
Weebly closed my paid account, and paid domains without even giving me a notice. There is no specific explanation and till now I am still waiting for weebly to respond.
I’m very disappointed with weebly

My website is being blocked in browsers with a message warning potential customers the site may have been taken over by hackers. This is even though I have enabled SSL and have a certificate in place. The help section basically tells me to find the error myself. Weebly is advertised as being for those without programming knowledge but they expect me to sort my own issues.

Utterly appalling customer service, rude and completely disinterested. They've gone downhill massively since I first used them a couple of years ago.

Bait and switchers, poor customer service, I would not recommend. To top my opinion of them the fact is they did not give me a refund within 2 minutes of my purchase. That there says how they treat their customers.

This is a great company with excellent customer service. My church was spending three times as much to maintain a website with half of the features and a customer service that closed at 6pm. It's been wonderful to work with weebly.

Warning: They don't test their software adequately before it is released into production. It doesnt matter if your website looks cool if it does't work: I am losing customers over the shopping cart not working. The experience was not improved and customers experienced more error messages than ever before.

Horible experiance, no support d'ont waiste your money, no phone you can speak with any one try to fix problem is ripoff

Weebly is the easiest, fastest, best-looking website designer available. They've been around for a long time, aren't going anywhere, and everything just works. The themes are clean, responsive, and modern.

Working at Weebly is even better than the product. The people are amazing, the perks are top-notch, and the product is something people love. You can go to work and be proud of what you do every day.

The Weebly website program is very good. However, the inability to speak with anyone there at an important moment is absolutely infuriating.

The ability to make websites is very easy to do. Unfortunately they have scammed me out of the service I pay for. They don't have any direct contact with the company. So emailing back and forth is the only option to handle legitimate concerns. And they only send out automated emails. Great setup for creating websites, horrible in customer service. And scammed me out of my money!

Weebly office is so far one of the most beautiful work space I've ever seen. Their tools are helping entrepreneurs and bloggers all around the world. Weebly is also very involved in the volunteering and green world. If you are looking for a great tool to build a pretty and amazing website with an online store, I strongly recommend you to give Weebly a try.

Pretty cool office with a great kitchen / events area. Employees seem like nice people. Not the nicest area in the city, got heckled waiting for an Uber.

I used Weebly to build my site. If the HD Video upload option worked as advertised (and, as I'm charged for) - which would be more than 1 time out of 20 - this would be a 5-star review.

Pros: Cheap, easy to use. Cons: Cannot move pages to another account. Cannot restore a backup, making the backup option useless. Phone support hold times have no timer, could be indefinite hold. Very slow to make any improvements to platform, sometimes they make it worse instead. Despite that very discouraging list of cons the alternatives are even worse
