West Coast Eng & Cylinder Head reviews
7I used this machine for everything in the 1995 ish. I was told the owner sold it. So I can say they were my go to shop for everything I did
Very good team with a quick turnaround at a fair price. I highly recommend them!
Simple request asked for quote on doing cycinder head.
Not able to bring part in due to health issues. Although SAL was very receptive to getting new work, not so for his COMPADRE Raul, who was to busy for this job. Went elsewhere to people who are capable of the simples customer service task as returning phone calls!
Great place to do business. 2 rotating assemblies done while I waited. Thanks Jose.
These guys are very knowledgeable at their craft, but when it comes to customer service or being upfront about a timeframe, they are not honest. I've been waiting for my car for well over 5 months, and every week I'm told it will be done at the end of the week.
Grade A+ work. Rebuilt my EJ257 heads. They look immaculate. Great shop, great pricing. Be patient, head work isn't easy ever.
My 1997 Chevy 5.7 Vortec was rebuilt by this place. I gave them the job because of the price quoted me, (a lesson in you get what you pay for). Although the engine works fine many problems had to be addressed. Timing marks on the harmonic balancer would not line up. After letting them attempt to resolve the issue, they said the motor was running fine but couldn't explain why the ignition marks would not alien. Speculating, they installed the wrong part, probably came from a different motor. Easy to understand when I came by and seen the parts scattered all around the back of the shop, poor organization. Also missing were two of three exhaust bolts from each exhaust flange. The bolt holding the crank position sensor was missing and there has been an oil leak between the timing chain cover and oil pan from day one.
I came upon this place because they share a similar name, West Coast Engines, (a completely different business), this is my original mistake.
This place was too far to keep bring my truck back for follow up work, so I was left to my own abilities. Good luck
