West Lake Aquarium reviews
17 This is the best place to by certain types of tropical fish
And accessories. Very knowledgeable owner. Has very good frozen fish food.
Owner was helpful and knowledgeable. Breeds own angelfish and they look healthy and hearty. Definitely recommend.
I like the selection of fish here that you wouldn't typically find at your local petco or petsmart! Bought some chili rasboras here and was tempted to buy even more. I'm sure I'll be back to buy some other types of fish. Very fair prices and again a nice selection. All homegrown and super healthy looking fish. Owner was super nice and gave advice how to take care of my fish:) Thanks again!
Guy was short with his answers and kinda rude, not to mention every tank in the shop was filled with alge and a nasty brown or green color. Id suggest the fish shop off imperial and arovista in brea over this place
Very nice little place for tropical fishes. Fishes are very healthy. Specialized in discuss and angelfish. He has the best Discus and Angelfishes there.
I went to about 5 fish store's the day I went to this place so I don't remember which one this was.
Sorry
Worse customer service over the phone. Was asking a question, the man said, “No” and then hanged up on me. I was going to ask another question but I guess I’ll take my business somewhere else.
I love West lake aquarium they have a big selection of angelfish I've purchased quite a number of them and my yoyo loaches there.
I called to see if they had Koi food in stock and the Asian responded with no and hung up. I will not work with this type of customer service.
Not only was the owner super nice, the prices/deals were reasonable! I love mom and pop shops definitely going back there for future purchases
Small shop but good variety of fish. Has a couple other stops to make otherwise would have walked out with bags of fish but I will be back.
Awesome place! I came here with a friend and his son to buy discus it’s a nice store truly a fish keeper and a great breeder he’s got snails and many angel fish and discuss and many others
Patrick is the old man who owns it. I met him for some discuss at his store they were so healthy and exotic not the average discuss at all! They were so healthy a few month later I came for more. He is a talented fish breeder and breathe some of his fish in the house which is more of a sign of his talents not just a person who purchases fish and sells them like all the big box stores do! This man can help you have a healthy aquarium with healthy fish that breed
If you have the time to learn and have some money to spend this is an awesome place to come
Owner are great people
Attentive to your needs very helpful on explaining what you may need to set up a reef tank
Friendly Service, Great Selection of Fish and Supplies at Lowest Prices Around. I get My Guppies Here!
Called for information and guy who picked up was short, and rude. Asked if they had live freshwater plants. Literally said, "No we don't have that" and hung up before I finished my next question.
Patrick, the owner has been breeding cichlids about 40 years. He ships his special cichlids to individuals & fish stores nationwide. He has some of the most unique, vibrant colored, healthy cichlids in Southern CA. My husband & I really enjoy visiting this store & talking to Patrick. Patrick loves to share his knowledge & experience, so don't hesitate to ask questions. Other larger fish stores claim they could identify which fish was male & which fish was female, but they were always wrong. Patrick is the only one that accurately identified the male & female cichlids. He is also one of the few owners that guarantees his fish!
