18 Follow up review from 6 months ago! During the past 6 months, I have been on a bulking cycle. My trainer, Adam, has helped me gain 10 pounds of overall weight with of which 5.8 pounds was an increase lean muscle mass! In addition, my body fat percentage has actually decreased 0.6% which is amazing. He has helped stay on my nutrition plan. I can't thank WestCA enough for helping me towards my fitness goal and I highly recommend WestCA if you want serious results!
I highly recommend WestCa to anyone who’s serious about fitness and working out. Adam is my nutritionist and one of the physical trainers I work with at WestCa. He’s professional and understanding but also keeps my accountable to my goals! I highly recommend Adam and WestCa for all of your fitness goals.
Megan and Dorothy were very helpful. I highly recommend this gym to local San Jose residents. It helps with time managements and is very affordable with good vibes. My coworker and I come during lunch and get our workout in
I think the most important qualities of a gym is being in a community that is inclusive, supportive, and treat you like a human being. And Westca is just that. The community here not only cares about your health, but also you as a person.
As someone who identifies as trans and queer this was the only gym that ever made feel safe about who I am. The staff have been super awesome (big shoutout out to the amazing human Maegs!) and make the genuine effort to honor my respective pronouns.
I’ve been working with Ivan who is helping me reach my goals of living my true authentic self by preparing for my top surgery. Working Ivan has been a blast, as I can already feel much more confident in myself and working out than I did starting 4 weeks ago. As someone with severe depression and anxiety it has been absolutely healing to be here because of how extremely kind everyone is.
I honestly brag a lot about being here. You wont make a mistake if you are thinking of working out here.
Fantastic gym. Everyone there is super friendly and you get a strong sense of community every time you walk in. The space is small but they make the most of it and I've never had any issues waiting too long for certain equipment. All the equipment is in good condition and anything that breaks usually gets fixed quickly. I moved out of San Jose and had to leave this gym but I'm really going to miss it.
Working with Faith has been the best experience for my lifting journey and I'm so glad I joined the WETCA community!
This is my first time working with a personal trainer and I'm so happy to have been paired up with Faith. In just a couple weeks of training together she has already adjusted my grip and squat form for higher weight.
I love how big she is on empowering women to be strong and lift heavy:) Def recommend working with her if you want to get stronger and work your thighs and glutes!
This gym is a great place to work out both individually and with their training staff! I've been personal training with Faith during my pregnancy and she has been a great support in designing customized workouts that are both challenging and safe, helping me maintain muscle mass and strength during this pregnancy! Definitely recommend Faith if you appreciate learning more about exercise science too!
I started training with Maegs in November 2022. I signed up because I wanted to learn proper form and had gym anxiety on my own. From the get go, she has been so comforting and positive. Not only have I gained a ton of knowledge on form and how to do exercises correctly, I have gained a new level of self love that I was struggling to find. I can say in confidence, this is because of Maegs. She is a true gem. I look forward to every single session with her, even if its early! WESTCA as a whole is a very clean and inviting facility and everyone there is so nice. Definitely the best place to be!
This was my first gym experience and I was lucky to have my first trainer Maegs! Who taught me so much about strength training and how to use equipment in the gym that I used to be intimidated by. She is so sweet and truly cares about your fitness and health goals and ensures you reach them safely! I've been going to her for about 3-4 months now and I can't recommend her enough!:)
I hated working out until I found Westca, my girl Maegs pushes me every week to become a better version of myself. Truly such a light, bubbly, and fun person! Maegs has helped me feel more confident by teaching me proper form and giving me super helpful tips. She’s tiny but don’t underestimate her. Truly the best trainer!
WESTCA is both a gym and a community, one that I’m proud to be a part of. I've had the opportunity and privilege to work with both Tory and Adrian, who have shown me the ropes of training with free weights and machines. Both of them have been patient and professional during workouts with an attention to detail when it comes to correcting my form. Their constructive criticism has helped me lose nearly 10 pounds of fat and build up my strength. In the early days, I considered myself lucky if I could smoothly handle 45-lb dumbbells. Now, I’m on the verge of pushing myself with 100-lb dumbbells under the guidance of Tory and Adrian. Thank you to WESTCA and its team for providing an awesome lifting community in the Bay Area!
I joined Westca 4 months ago. My fitness journey has progress greatly training with Maegs! She creates great plans and has motivated me to make progress every week! Everyone at gym makes you feel welcome.
I've been going to Westca for a little over a year now and couldn't imagine a better place. I've never been really comfortable in a gym setting, but everyone at Westca just wants the best for you and are so welcoming. I train with Adam, who is incredibly knowledgeable and committed to helping me (and all his clients) improve in all facets. I can't recommend him and Westca enough.
I’ve been training with Adam at WestCA for nearly a year. Thanks to Adam, over this past year I’ve gotten significantly stronger, more confident in the gym, and have focused more on my nutrition and overall health goals. I never had a personal trainer before so Maegs is my first! And can I just say, I GOT SO LUCKY to have her as my personal trainer. She makes me feel very comfortable in the gym setting and ALWAYS asks if it’s okay for her to place her hand on me so she an adjustment me.
I remember when I had my consultation with her, I just knew that she was going to be a great trainer because of the amount of time she took to get to know me as a person, to understand my goals (outside and inside of the gym). She truly cares about her clients and only wants the best for us! Her group sessions are always so fun and she makes 7am gym session worth it! I appreciate Maegs and the WESTCA community so much!
I have been coming to Westca for a little over a year now. I signed up since I started pulling muscles in my back from inactivity. The personal trainers are amazing! Maegan is my personal trainer and she is dedicated to helping me reach my fitness goals. She always greets me with a smile in the mornings and genuinely cares about my progress. The staff is so friendly and supportive. No matter what fitness level you are at, Westca can help you get to where you want to be. Now I can pick up my chunky 25lb dog and not pull my back out! I feel so much stronger and confident.

The gym is smaller than your big box gym with dated machines, but it makes up for it with its cleanliness, welcoming environment, and people, both staff and gym-goers! I’ve always felt welcomed and supported here, even when I was working out on my own. I can honestly say all staff will greet you with a smile, say hi when able, and are approachable if you have any questions. One day, I was invited to work out with one of the personal trainers, Maegs, and I was hooked! I signed up for sessions immediately and enjoyed every minute. The one-hour sessions go by fast and are so fun, filled with laughter and mini dances during rest periods. Maegs will brighten up anyone’s day with her positive attitude, even at 7am. She is knowledgeable, down to earth, and makes me feel comfortable in my own skin. This gym is amazing because she’s a huge part of it! She deserves a raise!
I’m currently training with Maegs and honestly she’s the only reason I’m continuing to come back to the gym. Since day 1, I’ve had issues with body image, lack of motivation and just lack of faith in myself to achieve my fitness goals. Im still not 100% there but Maegs legit pushes me during every session. If I’m doing 25 lbs, she will push me to 50 and watch my reaction as I achieve that goal. I can’t wait to continue my training and see how I improve.
