Western Pacific Railroad Museum reviews
4We had a blast, quite the collection and well worth the trip as many of the locomotives, cabooses an rolling stock can be accessed/climbed in. Staff was very friendly, we really enjoyed running the locomotive and thought it was well worth the cost. The president was our instructor and he was outgoing and talkative which we really liked. Neat Z scale layout running in their gift shop too. Worth the drive from the Bay Area to us. See you next time.
Like a full-scale model train collection. Alas, the rust is winning. Caboose ride is fun and recommended. Volunteers were friendly and helpful, but they could really benefit from an influx of money and ideas.
If you are any kind of a railroad buff this is a must see and do place on your bucket list. Lots of old locomotives in a variety of railroad cars and a nice historical place. Be run a locomotive program is absolutely worth it. I've done it several times over the last 20 years and there is nothing more fun than driving a diesel locomotive on the tracks. Tell your friends and go experience the place. Stay at the Pullman inn which is very nearby for a good bed and breakfast memory.
