The font office gal was very semweet and fast. I waited a little while inbetween P. A.and tech. The P. A.was good. The tech came in to attend to my ear. Did not come in with drops to loosen wax. He was going to jst shoot water in my ear. I told him the P. A.said to put drops in to loosen wax. Then he grabbed hydrogen peroxide to put in my ear. I said, NO! I advised him I needed to speak with P. A. He came back and told me to put the eardrops i brought to show the Dr.in my ear. I really was so scared to have him do anything else. This is my ear. I have to hear out of it and there was a lot of pain. I'm so glad I had the where with all to challenge him and tell him you are not doing this. Disappointed and was floored.

I would give them a zero star if that would be possible. I used to see Dr. Sonia who was nice and competent.
I saw a PA for a minor problem for which they prescribed some antibiotic drops, which I expected to go and get from my preferred pharmacy. 3 hours later I went to get my prescription, only to discover the clinic didn’t send the prescription to the pharmacy. I called them to rectify the problem, they said they were going to resend the prescription. After waiting a while I rechecked with the pharmacy. Same problem, the pharmacy was yet to receive the order. An absolutely lovely pharmacy assistant from my preferred pharmacy called them too only to discover the prescription was sent, but to another pharmacy chain! These guys are beyond incompetent. Stay away from them.

I’m a traveller, so I was happy to find this place, and I was very easily able to make an appointment online the same day, I had flu symptoms and they were able to give me antibiotics which made me feel so much better. They were kind they listened, and they help me so I would go back.

I LOVE Westlake Urgent Care! Dr. Sonia is wonderful. She and her staff are pleasant, but no-nonsense about solving any issue I have brought to them. It's a love/hate relationship. I hate when something goes wrong, but I love that I can see them for help.

The doctors, nurses and staff members at this urgent care are very compassionate and super nice. Not only did they see me right away, I didn’t feel rushed and they listened to my whole story. They were very thoughtful about my treatment plan and I have a lot of confidence in them and the plan of treatment.

I am visiting Westlake village and had a health issue. The young man who created me at the door was so nice. The doctor I saw at first spoke very quickly hard to understand. The PA who I don't mostly with was extremely sensitive to my issue, she was so kind, and very thorough.

We went there for my girlfriend's pain in back and leg.
They did a thorough examination, paid attention to every detail, and listened patiently.
Awesome place, plenty of parking spaces, friendly staff, and clean. I do strongly recommend recommend this place.

Great experience at Westlake Village Urgent Care. They were friendly and professional. The facility is clean and extremely well run.
I easily made an appt online. (They also take walk ins.) As I walked in I was happily greeted and immediately helped by the young man sitting at the front desk.
I was taken to a room right away. The nurse who came in to take care of me was very kind, compassionate, gentle and patient. She really listened as I was telling her my symptoms. She asked me if it was ok if she performed a couple of tests on me. She made the testing a breeze.
She brought the Dr.in and the Dr was excellent as well. Explained the meds she is prescribing me and why. She listened to my questions, I received a thorough answer.

I was happy and relieved that
they give you the option to purchase your prescription medication there! Which I did, and was able to go straight home after. If you don’t chose to purchase there, they of course would send the prescription to the pharmacy or your choice.

I was impressed and grateful with the excellent care I received here. I’m so glad I went in and I will be going there when needed from now on.

Professional Service - Zoom meeting since I home tested Positive for COVID, prescribed an antibiotic, then Dr Sonia Devgan-Kacker sent it direct to my pharmacy as Westlake Urgent in just was closing. Great customer service!

All the reviews here say this is the best urgent care. Organized, clean, quality care. I'm sure that's true for those who look a certain way. Unfortunately that was not true for my employer whom I scheduled a wellness/physical for.

The receptionist I spoke to told me they could accommodate same day physical/wellness visits so I booked him out an appointment. The treatment he received was appalling and I'm not talking about medical care.

From the beginning he was treated with suspicion by the staff. He was brought back to a treatment room and to await the doctor. Before the doctor arrived, a staff member came back to the treatment room and asked if he could prepay for his visit.

Pre-pay for a wellness visit? ! I've never heard of a medical facility that asked for pre-payment for any visit, let alone a simple physical. Have you ever been asked: "Before we swab your throat for strep, you're going to need to pay upfront for the lab work. " Um, no. That's NOT a standard of care for any reputable, well trained facility. And even if it was standard, why not say that on the phone? Or at check-in? The fact that the staff member had to circle back to his treatment room to ask for payment was ridiculous.

My employer felt embarrassed and ashamed. He was going to pay and stay for the appointment, but we convinced him not to put his health in the hands of people who treat their patients with suspicion because of the color of their skin.

It's heavy to throw around words like bias and racial profiling, but this is what it was, plain and simple. Aside from the fact it's downright damaging and hurtful to an individual, this kind of medical profiling is why black and other BIPOC people have higher mortality rates when it comes to medical care. They aren't seen as a human first and foremost. Look up the stats on care for black and other BIPOC people, you're already on Google. So to end this, I'm sure they offer wonderful care, if you're not black.

EDITED Response to Owner Comment:

Unfortunately for you, I am not without my own resources and references on the standards of care in medicine. I don't usually need to expound upon the many members of my family in healthcare to prove a point, but here I'll make an exception.

Every single one of them told me that was strange and suspicious when I asked for their opinion before writing this review. My sister who has made her CAREER in focusing on LGBTQIA and BIPOC medical care, straight up laughed. She full belly-laughed and said "Welcome to reality. Did you think discrimination magically stopped at the doors of a doctors office? Girl, it gets worse there. "

Also you might want to get your story straight for next time. When we called back to ask about the policy, your receptionist had a very different story to tell. She said the doctor requested it and she was just following orders. When asked if that was a standard for all patients, she didn't respond. When asked again she said the doctor makes the final decision and she's just doing what she was told. So no real answer for us.

You'd think if some called up your business with these real questions you'd explain IN-DEPTH the no waiting room policy/upfront payment policy and why it's in place (which was failed to be even mentioned over the phone when booked or again once he arrived in office). We didn't even get asked for insurance information or anything beyond name and birthdate. No electronic patient info forms were sent to us, no questionnaires etc. If you truly had a no waiting room policy, why wouldn't you have us send patient forms and prepayment before arrival? That would actually make sense in this instance to mitigate the spread of illness.

Bare minimum everyone needs a retrain on your company protocols because it took two phone calls, an uncomfortable office visit, and a bad review for someone to tell us what the "real" office policy is.

I’ve been here twice and both times they were a very professional staff and got me into a doctor quickly.
