We usually dont ever have a bad thing to say about the place but today I went in to take my auntie to get lab work and we had an appt. We waited over an hour. One of the staff members was very rude. Just want you all to understand it is not the patients fault that a staff membe is. Having A Bad Day

Arrived at 10am as a walk-in. Signed in and took a seat with no input from the person at the desk. Discovered by watching the process that all appointments got seen first even if they were early, leaving me perpetually at the back of the line. I got up and left at 10: 45 after realizing that I could possibly sit there all day. Really poor customer service to not inform that you needed an appointment. Poorly done.

I’ve gone twice in the last two weeks. First time no appt.waited over an hour and left. I had moved up by one. The second time I had an appt.once again I waited over an hour and left. They took one woman during that time and kept telling us how we probably wouldn’t get done because they were short staffed. They’re not very pleasant that’s for sure. I’m going to try for the third time next week. Ridiculous

It used to be walk in only and it didn't take long.today we were unaware that you could make appointments and we waited an hour and a 1/2 to get in. I think that's fairly rude to make my 92

My first experience wasn’t all too great waited two hours and I felt the Iv was a little rough but the lady checked on me good to see she cared!
my second experience was fantastic. I would recommend making an online appointment made a huge difference! I only waited 10 mins! I also loved the lady who took my blood! April was her name she made my experience wonderful she was sooo sweet, I only had her for a few short minutes but she stuck with me that’s how great she was! The initial poke was sooo easy I was surprised at how well she did it! I wish I could have April every single time!
Everyone there is nice but she just stuck with me! I enjoyed her!

Labs may not be very exciting, but online booking and digital check-in made my experience relatively good. There was ample parking including handicapped. Waiting room not crowded and chairs with good distance and hand sanitizer. I was able to get in the same day.

The employees at the laboratory who work with the patients are helpful and courteous. However if you call the lab to get information, it is a different experience. These people who answer the central line will tell you they are unable to answer your questions. They put so much effort into coming up with reasons why they can't help you. If you try to reason with them, they just dig their heels in and become more resistive. It's incredible. They actually will say that the lab employees can't help with things that they can. So basically they just want to get off the phone. Another manuver is to cut the caller off by saying they are going to transfer you to a supervisor, and transfer you to a line where you leave a message but no one returns your call. I'm thinking about trying to find a different lab with better customer service.

Love the staff, until Atascadero staff was there to help. I had the most rude lady! She was very rough, and told me if I didn’t like it I could leave! I ask to have someone else draw.

As a retired clinical medical assistant, I wish to compliment Brylee, who was the phlebotomist who drew my blood. Her skill, professionalism, and warmth are very much appreciated. She left me with no hematoma and barely a bruise. Thank you, Brylee.

Most of the staff is very friendly. JD does the best blood draw. No pain, No bruises! A true professional. Wait times are like other things in life;
it just depends on the time of day and how many people require their service.

I’ve been here twice both times in the early morning (like 6: 30/7) so very little wait time. The only reason I took off 1 store was because on my last visit 3 phlebotomists were wearing casual street clothes with a lab coat over the top. 1 girl was wearing jeans and boots, a guy was in a tshirt khakis and sneakers, and the last girl was in I swear what looked like a tube top. She wasn’t the one who called me back otherwise I would’ve asked her but I’m hoping it was just a nude colored long sleeve with stripes across the top. It really made me question their professionalism. Otherwise the girl who took my blood was polite and efficient.

Long multiple waits and lots of mistakes requiring multiple trips. Perhaps if less time is spent on bureaucratic procedures and more time spent reading the actual doctor's orders some efficiency could be gained. There may also need to be some training on the diagnostic tests and how they are administered as it does not inspire confidence when the technician is googling the test the doctor ordered to see what is needed.
