Whitebark Restaurant & Lounge In The Westin Hotel reviews
17This place was fancy! Although high in price, the quality is definitely worth it. Great food, calm clean atmosphere with great decor. Inside a resort. We made reservations for our visit, but it was not busy at all on the Friday night we went. Portion sizes were rather large but once again, making it more worth what you spend. Extensive wine menu as well. The staff were great as well.
Sad this is part of Westin. Go away from Village for REAL food. OMG HORRIBLE! Foods awful sorry but have to tell the truth. Been to many Westin property restaurants this has to be worst ever. Quality seems very low and taste of food even reflects that. For the price too wow. I see those delivery trucks unloading LOW quality SYSCO ingredients might as well order a hot dog at the county fair. Alot to fix here
I ordered the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and broccolini. It was absolutely perfect and tender. I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you!
Over priced for the poor quality of food. Drinks took forever. We had appetizers on the table before anyone had a drink. Twice baked potato was cold in the middle. Salmon tasted fishy, which made it very unappetizing. For a $600+ bill it was very disappointing. I don't mind paying a high price point for delicious food but this was subpar, and not the experience we were hoping for to celebrate a Birthday!
Had a reservation and got there on time… order our food and hour and a half later…no food… kept telling us in 10 more min…we order an appetizer and it was small, flavorless and not even good…
We went there last night while we were staying at the Westin Monache Resort. The staff seemed very overwhelmed and busy. I imagine they have staffing shortages like everywhere else currently does too. The bartenders were very rude, and acted like they did not want our business. We stood there 10-15 minutes without being acknowledged. The DAOU wine was very fairly priced, 13$ a glass. I wouldn’t recommend this bar, very poor customer service. Not what you would expect at this high end resort.
Bartender was great when he wasn’t waiting tables. Waitress was nice but didn’t see her much since she was supporting maybe a third of the restaurant. Food was TERRIBLE. They sent out pan seared fish … except they never actually cooked it, it was completely raw. Chicken was over cooked to the point where it was like eating sawdust. Bernaise sauce was so minimally whisked you could see raw egg yolk. Very disappointing evening.
Server with pink hair was not a nice person to put it nicely. Just go to Campo across the street.
Slightly underwhelming food, long waits. We had bison short ribs on farro. No sauce, no vegetables. Not bad tasting, but for the price, I would have expected more (and have gotten more, even in Mammoth). Also, service was very slow. We almost gave up on dessert after having seen only our main dishes for over an hour and a half.
Stayed at the Westin, ordered room service from this restaurant. Frozen pressed chicken soggy filled of water with a powder sauce $28 “a joke”. Portion of fries “Frozen” no presentation. Mix salad pretty correct but probably from a bag. Nice hotel and nice restaurant for a drink but this is a shame that there is no chef in the house.
We used to love this place. During dinner the dishes were good. Except by the shrimp with linguini that wasn’t tasty at all. We decided to eat here, but nah is not special as before. They change the menu. Before they had costume smoothies and the options for the menu were diverse and different food. Was amazing menu. Now for Breakfast they only serve eggs. You can get the same dishes from the village cheaper. Why offer the same thing than others restaurants. The point was that before where different.
There must be a new chef because the food was off the hook. Granted the restaurant channels s “Denny’s” vibe but JR at the bar gave us one of the most memorable evenings in Mammoth. Best Negroni my wife has ever had, the food was beyond flavorful … in the end the perfect ending to 5 days in the Eastern Sierras.
Not the best food but I feel super bad for them under staffed not so busy hope they can get that back up on there feet
The wings here were phenomenal! The staff was very nice, and I felt soo welcomed especially as a Marriott employee, who came here on leisure travels. Thank you Whitebark staff you guys rock!
Nice food, but I in ordering chicken wings, I understand they cut a single wing into several pieces, but expect a fair deal. The drum is the best part, but in my order of wings, got 8 of the 2nd joint but only 4 of the meaty 1st joint part of the wing. For the price- a ripoff.
I adore this restaurant! They provide excellent meals, their menu is rich, The chef in that restaurant is well trained, I like a lot tasting all their dishes. The dishes are consistently tasty, the service towards the visitors is very good too. I visit often this restaurant and I not even once was disappointed. I recommend it to all my friends.
Mediocre service that takes a long time. The food is decent. Maybe leave the property for a better breakfast experience.
