Whole Foods Market reviews
19This place always is a pleasure to shop at, as there is a large variety of things you can buy there, and its large variety of foods from Fresh off the stove Pizza to Ice Cream cakes is amazing.
Always, always check your receipt before leaving. When I buy produce, the majority of the time I am overcharged! Big and small ticket priced items. Doesn't matter. If I buy a medium avocado, I'm charged for a large, I buy a regular red onion, I'm charged the organic price.
Also, I find their pricing to be misleading often. Picked up a rotisserie chicken, big sale label said one price, register said 50% higher, so of course the small print says only the "lemon herb" seasoned chicken is on sale. Why!? Not one to be found among the 15 chickens there. Is plain, unseasoned chicken more expensive? They got me like that on a pie not long ago. Misleading!
I wonder how many people buy then get home and realize they paid 30-50% more than planned for some items. This isn't a once in a while occurrence. I just can't help but wonder if this is by design. Add the chaotic lines and questionable customer service and I'm nearly at my limit.
Holiday meal ordering: I ordered a Thanksgiving meal from the Whole Foods catering service at Whole Foods in Oakland. I waited 90 minutes in line to pick up the food I had ordered weeks in advance. Despite the advance order, not all the items I ordered were available. Overall, a pretty poor experience. I will not make the mistake of using Whole Foods catering again.
Waited inside the car didn't go in but am sure it's like the other whole foods stores
Huge selection of world foods, prices are horrible but yet the quality is greatish.
Meat market, super expensive and the quality is a 6 out of 10 at most.
Came here before they were closing one night to buy some rice for my dinner and got followed around the store until I left my basket and walked out. I recommend shopping anywhere but here
Never never never preorder a turkey here. You might assume you can come get it quickly. You would be wrong. Over an hour+ in line. But a turkey anywhere else.
I love the store. Parking is tricky. Don't go on the weekend. The little parking structure fills up fast.
Not creative like TJs but I go there for lactose free Green Valley and unique cheeses. Baby romaine, special meat cuts, fresh olives. Some things are a dollar more just cuz. Good back up when my Fav was out of organic peanut butter. Supplements cheaper online. Fancy tasty breads and deserts w/o artificial tastes.
Friendly folks. Wish byobag donations were still enacted.
I had such a pleasant experience at the customer service desk today! I ended up going there twice (once for a return and once for a price adjustment?), and Ana was incredibly helpful, warm, and kind. I felt like could have hung out there with her for longer than I needed to—such a rarity for such a dull errand! The woman who began her shift with Ana just as I was leaving was also SO lovely. It’s so rare to get this sort of service at a corporate place like Whole Foods, especially during the holiday season, and it really lifted my mood.
This place is lame and fake. Lies about CA requiring masks to shop. The rest of the state isn't sweating masks. Wokeland just sucks.
I love the selection and availability of this store, it's my go-to grocery store. One thing I wish would improve is the line management. The line management during covid really helped me to navigate in and out of the store quickly. Now that it's reverted back, it takes forever to check out! Bring it back.
Employees are great, so is the food. For the corporate overlords I gotta deduct one star though.
Amazonas. Foods still a wonder. Bakery: divine. Snazzy parking. Fun History on the Staire. Buy Flowers, the Euros will be proud.
I come here for shampoo and soap because it feels of a higher quality and doesn't irritate my skin like dove soap for example. Personally I have never tried the food here other than a donut but they do have a good variety of food like they even have sushi and ramen here as well as other soups and ready to eat foods. So I'd say it's a pretty dope store overall
Busy, parking is limited, and challenging to get in and out of. A lot of the produce hadn't been stocked. Smaller location, not as much variety or options for selection. Checkout was very busy and lines were long and a bit chaotic.
I ordered one of their pizza’s for delivery. It was terrible, hard as stone. It looked like it had been sitting under the lamps all day, burned, and then they threw cheese on it to cover the burned cheese—burning that new cheese too and throwing Parmesan on it! Ew! I will not be ordering another pizza from this place.
The kids were extremely disappointed. Ruined a party… shame on WholeFoods for pushing such junk.
Whole foods? More like WHOLE PAY CHECK! Don't get me wrong it is DELISH but boy it is expensive
Farrell at the deli counter really knows how to make sandwiches. The rest of the store is a Whole Foods, you know…
