Large, forestal and well-runned campsite by the west shore of Tahoe lake. All sites are quite spacious so you can enjoy enough privacy. The most benefit is the close vicinity of the splendid William Kent beach.

Our family could spend four days there and experienced wonderfull "close encouter of the bear kind". That clever hairy fella came to visit our neighbours just in a time shortly after dinner. Amazing! Better to use your lockers properly at any time ;-)

The spaces are big enough for a large RV or a couple tents. Each one has a fireplace.
The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Really, really good USFS campground. 65 sites, most very level. Great staff, clean campsites and bathrooms. Amazing trees, and the breeze blowing thru them is white noise to the highway down the hill. The beach is just across the highway. Highly recommended

Great place. They even hand drew a little map to our site which was pretty handy at night. Front desk lady was super friendly and nice.
Beware of bears though.
Trying the Yurts next time.

Be clear on your reservation request to be assigned a site that does not have a dumpster near it. There are several dumpsters around the site and one was placed within 6 feet of the parking pad of our site (#60). While the site is lovely and extremely well maintained, the dumpster mad for an unwelcomed surprise.

Beautiful campground in the tall Pines with beach and restaurant within walking distance. Regular visits from bears - just practice bear safety.

Host is very welcoming, bathrooms are clean, camp site is spacy and plenty of water locations. And I was lucky to meet Bo, which was awesome.

Small spaces. ABSOLUTELY packed with ppl. If you looking to get away from them then try something a little more remote! Other than that a good little camp ground. The host was friendly and helpful.

Low score is because we had a terrible overnight experience. We were unsure of area and since it was hard to get in I booked site 8 for the first night and site 57 for the next night. Once we got there we tried cancelling the second night and could not get a refund. During first night we all stayed in the van and had a night time visitor, an animal of some sort, so did not sleep well. Lake Tahoe is beautiful and had a great time at the beach. We learned Lake Tahoe is a pass through destination. Too busy for us. $33 a night. Flush toilets. No showers.

I would just like to say thanks to both Judy and Ed for running a top notch campground. My buddy stayed at the William Kent Campground for three nights for a King of the Lake disc golf tournament. The bathrooms were very clean each day and it was very quiet.well before 10pm quiet time I will definitely stay there again sometime

William Kent Campground is a hidden gem on the shore of Lake Tahoe. Right outside Tahoe City of of 89. The Campground is spectacular and you will love the staff and the closeness to the lake. It is non hookup but don't let that stop you from enjoying this place!

Easy to find and camp host has it all together. We came in late to find a nice note with our name on it. They had a map to our camp spot. Facilities are clean. Great campground
