Great area for short walks and wildlife viewing and other low key activities, great for kids, nice picnic area and great vegetation and landscape

I came out here looking to prospect for gold for fun but found only gravel bars left over from the dredging in the late 1800s

This is a great place to go for a walk. I visited in the morning and got some great photos of the geese on the still pond.

Nice place to spend some time by the water. They have benches and a launching ramp for kayaks.
It's a self registration park so if you come here with your own car, you gotta pay 10$ for parking fees. It's cash only.
They are open 7am to 7pm

Willow Creek on Lake Natoma in Folsom, CA, is a nice place to go out on kayak. There are many ducks and geese, so the dock has poop but still nice because of proximity to parking lot. It makes it convenient when you have short walk carrying a 50 lb kayak.

It was our first time there and we had a great time kayaking! The parking lot was almost full at 10: 30 am but it was Labor Day, so I think during a regular weekend it might be less crowded. You can rent kayak and SUP, and probably pedal boats too because we saw some on the lake. It will definitely be our main spot to go kayaking!

Not really much to say about a place like this, it's nice and has enough trees for shade and just lounging around if one chooses to do so, could do without all of the rocks in the water, that sorta kept me from going for a swim most of the time I was there.

Near the Folsom outlets. This little inlet from Lake Natomas is a good place to fish or put your kayaks in to explore the lake.

Not a lot of people know about this location easy access to the water to launch kayaks also kayak rentals there at that location and parking is $10 for the day Willow Creek is a nice Lagoon to learn paddle boarding or kayaking with access to the lake

This is a great place for paddle boarding!
* Not as crowded as the other Folsom/Lake Natoma boat launches and has a large and efficient parking lot (vs Negro Bar!).
* The entrance sneaks up on you and is a skinny one way road.
* No guard shack so you have to pay at the kiosk if you don’t have a pass (which can be purchased at the other Folsom/Lake Tahoe boat launches).
* Kayak and SUP rentals on the weekends.
* There are a couple nice large picnic areas, seems people drop their stuff on the tables to reserve them

I love river rocks and there are hundreds of
Absolutely the most beautifully stunning rocks with lots of
Vibrant colors, that's I love this place but
If that doesn't sound appealing there are
Plenty of things that might interest you, bike the trails, fishing is big there, hang out by the water have a picnic enjoy the view

Cool little place to get to the water. Be careful of the dock while the geese are there, it can be a bit messy ;-)

Beautiful place to sit and relax by the water. There's a small boat launch that will service kayaks, canoes and SUPs handily-watch out for the goose mess! Features handicap parking spot at each of the two covered picnic areas, and adjacent the potty. There is limited accessibility close to the water outside the launch. It's typically a quiet location, but does require payment as it's part of the Folsom Lake State Recreation area. Pit toilets are on site. Full access to the bike trail which links south to the Natoma Flat/CSUS Aquatic Center and north to Old Folsom, and beyond! Check it out in spring for the blooming yellow irises and to hear the heron and egret hatchlings in their nests across the water.

Love this area. Very clean and quiet place to start your biking adventure, or to get out on the water. I kayak out of here every weekend.

There's several trails that you can explore where you could do biking, jogging or just take a leisure walk. It's a pet friendly park too. You can rent canoes near the parking structure. Not sure how much though. Or you can also bring your own canoe or boat. We did some people fishing. We took a 5 mile hike and the weather was just about right at 72F. We park near the Dos Cayotes restaurant along Folsom and took the trail at the back. There are picnic tables along the trail. This is also a good spot where you can take an hour long lunch and enjoy a quiet break. If you're working near or just happen to visit the area. I'd recommend checking the trails. You can even hike your way to the nearby factory outlets.now that'll be a different kind of hike.

Always nice. Not very many areas to "beach", but a nice boat launch and they rent kayaks etc from Memorial dayday weekend to labor day.

Really nice place for the line fisherman or family. It was windy this day but I could still find a place to fish. Fishing never has been good in Lake Natomas
