Willowick Golf Course reviews
7Great people working there. It has improved. The layout helps the beginners and offer great day at the course. The bar and grill is open!
Only course in OC where you can score a bummie! Homeless people camping on the course so shanks can end up in Bumland. Set in the middle SA ghetto. Heard peeps getting mugged there but never happened to me. Dump
Well, overall we felt unsafe on the course seeing homeless wandering around various ON COURSE encampments. They seemed to be long term, that is unsafe for all concerned. If the course was ever checked for safety issues this should never occur. We are also fully aware of the difficulties of fairway and green maintenance so we wont discuss that specifically (hint: it's bad). The safety fences all have giant gaping holes in them rendering them useless. Yes, we have emailed concerns to "management" with zero response after multiple attempts. If you see a response saying "we care" and "contact us" that's a straight up lie you can disregard. So. UNfast, UNmaintained, UNcaring "management", Unsafe. Just a shame, this is not a bad review as much as it is a warning.
Low quality course, badly management. Not cheap to match its quality. Busy Saturday, I ask for earlier start, they said fully booked. But still see twosome playing.
I love this course. Driving the cart on the fairways (what fairway?) or on a cart path is an adventure in itself. Cause running over a pothole can throw your beer out of the beer holder any moment. Being a senior It’s hard on my spine due to plenty of hidden potholes. On hole 5, along the OB fence on the left, sometimes you can see residents looking for strayed balls, and if you strike a nice conversation with them, they may hand you a few balls. On hole 18, if you didn’t have a good round of golf that day, you can stop and watch folks playing soccer on the right side of the fairway. All in all, I give this course 5 stars, cause I’ve been playing here for so many years with lots of memories and it is very affordable to play golf here for a guy like me on a rather tight budget.
I recently played 18 holes and it was very disappointing. Let me start with the range being close into 10am. I arrived early to warm up only to find out the range was closed. Then, they don't sell beer. Lastly, the greens are beat and seem to be sprayed painted. Horrible greens. You also have to play with homeless people walking into the course. Worst of all, they are camping inside the Course. The staff was very friendly tho and the price was cheap but not coming back. You get what you paid.
$39 dollars for 18 holes is pretty good. I wasn't sure what to expect based on the reviews below, but I thought the course was decent. Played with three friends and had a great time. Given how hard it is to find morning tee times right now I would definitely play here again.
