Wishon campground was amazing. Running water and flushing restrooms were clean and nice to use.
Camp host Carmen was amazing. We were lucky to have Carmen as our campsite host twice and different campsites.
Thank you, Carmen, for being such an amazing camp host.

The paved road inside the campground is tight, so if you're pulling a trailer, know that the road is really tight and a 20-foot trailer might not make it up in the campsite.

Bass Lake is across the road from the campsite, but it is not easy to carry all of your supplies to the lake. Due to the hill terrain of the camp and lake.
Advice, take the car or truck to the day use sites along the lake. You must buy a $10.00 per day parking pass per vehicle at the campsite station north of Wishon campground, or if you see any rangers at the day, use sites parking lots.

Rocky Point, Pine Point, Lakeside, Little denver Church & and Big Denver sites are all great.

Lakeside was our favorite day use site due to shallow lake front and open view area.

All-day use sites have running water and flushing restrooms.

Great place to camp, restrooms are available, you are allowed to make fire and no music after 10pm. Just make sure you have a spot that has some trees. It can get really hot in summer without any shade. Camping spots are pretty close to each other so if you expect to be camping in the wild with nobody around you it’s not the place.

Great campground with clean flush toilets, quick access to the bass lake, and a shortcut access to public showers (1$ per minute, but really clean). This was our first time out there and we really enjoyed it.

Will definitely come back. The hosts are super friendly and besides a bit of mosquitoes around sunset time, it was a perfect holiday spot. Bring some insect repellent and you'll be fine.

We still got AT&T service and good shade.
They got overflow parking too.

Recommend sites 1 to 9 to get some lake views even if you get a bit less shade on those. Other sites have plenty of shade.

As with many of the California campsites there is an overwhelming number of people, which distracts from the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. This camp site was nice place to spend the weekend away with the family. I found the lake to be dirty, I'm sure its partly due to the overwhelming amount of people here.

We found the Wishon Point Campground accidentally and since then have been coming here every year. Wonderful location, plenty of cozy sites, most of them have shade. Camp hosts are friendly and take a great care of the camp. The lake is in walking distance across the road. There’s a convenience store 10 minutes driving away. There’re plenty of restrooms on the campsite but no showers available. This place is popular so you want to reserve it online in advance.

After 3 weeks of roadtrip camping across many states, this was the most expensive (almost double) of any site I've ever paid for. It's a nice area, close to lake, I understand why that may be the case EXCEPT that bears visit the trash cans every night. And it's because there are no bear boxes and not even proper bear locks on trash cans! For $42 a night you should provide these things. It's especially sad for the bears who are now reliant on human trash. PLEASE for the sake of the animals who live here install bear boxes and proper dumpsters.

Our first time at this Campground. We will be coming back soon again. We enjoyed the view, the company and the atmosphere. A very great experience

Nice & wooded campground. The host was friendly & most of the campground was clean. Walking distance to the lake with some viewspots as well as able to walk a mile or so to a nearby market.
However, the 1st night on large party was up listening to loud music, talking & laughing loudly & rude until after 3 a.m.
The 2nd night there was still a lot of loud groups until nearly midnight even though the quiet hours started at 10 pm.

We stayed here for 3 days 2 nights and we loved it. The lake was so much fun but water was cold. It has a store, showers (yes hot water), and a restaurant in there. Perfect for a family weekend.

Upside: Shady in most areas, every campsite has at least one table, one grill, one fire pit depending on the size of the campsite. Restrooms are a short walk from the campsites. Which are keep fairly clean. The lake is a short hike to get to from each site. As well as the trash bins. General store just down the road. Downside: Single family campsites are pretty close to eachother. There is one shared restroom between 5-8 other campsites. No bear lockers.

Overall Great Camping experience

The employees Are very rude and unprofessional. Trying to intimidate campers is not ok. Will never stay again. Just rude and unprofessional. If I could give 0 ZERO starts I would have.

Love camping here the downside is the showers shown in the picture 4$ for 5 min they are disgusting and cold. I wasted a coin because the darn shower was broken super upset about that my poor baby who needed a shower was screaming his head off. Oh and we seen bears and deer it was amazing. Another thing to note if you go park at bass lake picnic area you will have to pay for that parking because even though your camping nearby and have your pass that doesn't cover parking which seemed ridiculous but I love camping.

My family and i stayed at Wishon Point this weekend. I was so impressed with the Camp Host. She was so nice and made us feel welcomed. She kept the bathrooms very clean and supplied at all times. I would recommend staying here. I can't wait to go back.
