WM - McCourtney Road Transfer Station & Recycling Center, Grass Valley CA

WM did not pick up the trash on our entire street on the Thursday before Christmas. I called FRiday, they said they would pick up that date. At 3 pm when they still hadn't picked up, they said the weren't picking up until Thursday of the next week. On the week of Christmas, when everyone had full cans! Not our fault they missed our road! This is unacceptable customer service!

I cannot get useful info about where to put my WM container and when it will actually be picked up

Curbside pickup is very good. Dump runs to the grass valley transfer station is an absolute nightmare. Long lines, long wait times.

Now single stream which reduces the actual amount recycled. The lack of labor creates the situation where there are large piles of trash! Waste Management and the County are at odds so no improvements are being made! It is deplorable! Ot also seems as though the majority of the population in our county don't feel that recycling has any benefits!

Waiting on a larger can. Called 4 times in the last month. And still nothing! Wish I had another option for garbage service!

It's really too bad that this place is allowed to operate the way they do. That facility was very efficient 10 years ago. Now it's a mess and the wait time is over an hour.

Regularly miss scheduled pickups. I’ve contacted customer service multiple times and they seem as though they don’t care. Waste Management used to be a good company. I don’t know what happened to the company.

A month ago, our garbage bin disappeared. Called WM and they told us that probably fell inside the truck during the pickup. No problem, they will deliver a new one next week. 4 calls later, still no garbage bin. Apparently we are not getting one until October! It is really frustrating, garbage in the summer smells really bad after a couple of days, this situation is bizarre. How is that the biggest garbage company in the USA doesn’t have garbage bins?

Service is very bad-with many delays-non pickup. Meanwhile green waste and recycling continue to pile up with no resolution.

Customer service is located out of state. Problems you might have with service is never solved because the local Nevada County manager is not available. Be ready to be frustrated

Yet again, waste management fails to pick up our recycling can. Finally leaving a review after at least the fourth time this year that it has happened. When you call to try and speak to an actual person, no answer and a full voicemail box- top notch service indeed for top dollar paid. I wish there were other options up here, but like internet- we are a slave to the monopoly.

All I got to say is "this recycling center ' suck. The guy i had was really mean and rude from the start. I had everything ready for him to check out my recycling. He check and said in rude tone. U have to check for plastic. So I did and he walk away.
I told him I'm disabled person and I didn't know laws or rule's. I haven't recycled in long time. So I didn't know. The guy didn't help me at all. Even when I ask for it. He just walk the other way.
When I had everything good. He check and did not talk to me and thew me my money at me.
I will not go back and ill fine another recycling center.
I never had problems here. Been coming here for over 6 years and never had problems.

Undestaffed and poorly planned when visiting dump but staff seem dedicated and as helpful as possible considering who they work for

So happy to have a good reliable service for trash and recycling…have you ever had to wait in a long line at waste management with the smell and wind blowing? LOL!

The yard waste driver rarely picked up my can, and when I called WM about it, each and every time, I was told one lie or another. I had information that prove to me they were lying. I do have my garbage picked up also and that driver always does his job.

Do not return messages. Have not delivered my containers so I can use them. Have paid up front and have 3 weeks of garbage in my garage.

Great spot to dump your trash/stuff/yard waste. It can get busy at times and wait times/lines are long. Buy back is always busy. Hazardous waste is perfect, and the free paint is nice too.

An hour wait starting at 10am on a Friday. Double lines to weigh out and complete disorganization. People being cut off by others who don't wait their turn and near fights. I detest having to come to this dump.
